Maybe it's because I'm still "young", unmarried with no kids but I'd much rather live in Tuscaloosa than Auburn. I enjoyed it and would have stayed but there were no career opportunities for me there after graduation.
Only issue I ever had in terms of crime (besides dealing with drunk fricks on campus every night) was when a girl I was seeing had her car broken into. She left a little empty purse in the backseat and when we got back, the window was shattered and that purse was gone. All that for a purse with nothing in it.
Other than that, no issues in four years. Can't say the same for my time in Atlanta though.
Auburn is just boring as frick. Even gamedays are lame in comparison. But everyone's preferences are different.Posted on 9/22/26 at 8:28 am to parrothead

We’re zoned for Oak Mountain in 35242 and it definitely feels 50/50ish at best.

I have met a lot of older Alabama alumni in and around Meadowbrook but the there is certainly that 60/40 split amongst high school students and 18-21 year olds. Heck it may even be worse that 60/40.
