Yeah, I'm already counting Morris out.

Feel the same. Could be wrong, but if Saban said LDR was 3rd string then i have to imagine that Morris will transfer (if he wants to start absent injury).

Bruce Feldman tweeted Orgeron was never coming to Bama.

I choose to believe Feldman doesn't know anything.

This will make me call into question some people's "insider status".

If he never was that means he never was in Tuscaloosa to begin with.

I just hope we announce Orgeron as DL/Recruiting Coord this afternoon so egg is on Feldman's face.

Does anyone even have real, certifiable evidence that he was in Tuscaloosa to begin with?

I think somebody, meaning message board poster, got all ancy in their pancys and started a rumor. Which, of course, took the Bama sites by storm and here we sit, over 24 hours later with zero confirmation that he was in town.

I still don't think we hire him.

UGA's Chris Wilson is interviewing for the job today.

ETA: Lucky just said he has a reputation as a very good recruiter and he's been very impressive the few times he's met him.

Probably this. Except instead of starting as rumor it was likely stated as "fact" from someone saying something like "I'm hearing" or "my guy has never been wrong" when they typed it.

Good luck if you hire him, but Bama is going to be fine either way.

(side note - there is a fair amount of non message board chatter about O to Bama. Most coming from those guys who following Coaching Searches)

A walk on in Del Rio's case counts if they play before their 3rd year I believe is the rule.

Only if he receives some type of financial aid like an academic scholarship or Bryant Scholarship. As far as I know LDR hasn't received any type of financial aid and can play at any point without counting against the 85.

Tim Watts said over the weekend that 247 Sports will be releasing their final Class of 2014 rankings today or tomorrow.

I'm interested to see if any of our commits/targets got bumps (or dropped) after the all star games.

Speaking of Rivals, they have Jarran Reed as their #1 JUCO DT, but have him ranked as a 3-star....above four 4-stars.

unless we have a scat back type play I don't see where he fits in. He is the smallest of the 4 who signed last year.

You talking about Kamara or Tyren?

Kamara is 5'10", 195

Tyren is 5'9", 215 (approximately same size as Mark Ingram, Doug Martin & Ray Rice).

Pretty sure Tyren has the highest BMI of all the current RBs on the Bama roster....meaning he's the thickest/stoutest [for those not familiar with BMI]. NOT to be confused with the "most cut" or "defined" as there are a lot of NON-Expert "Experts" on this site that have limited knowledge about S&C but speak on it as though they are experts......

If this season has proven one thing, there are, literally, 0 posters on TD from Bama and LSU with actual, factual, actionable, intel and about 1 to 3 posters that can be counted on to be right about 10% of the time. We all read these boards for entertainment purposes and, to me, anything actual is just icing on the cake. I know everyone appreciates the effort and the great reads, though.
