Like our 3 name QB.

Need to get Ricky Town a middle name. My votes are Joe, Don, or Bobby.

We made the Top 5 for 2015 5-star LB Jeffery Holland.

Auburn did as well. His uncle played basketball there.
Auburn just got a commitment from one of his team mates, 2016 RB Jalin Buie.

I vote Ricky Joe Town

I am excited about Kiffin and here's why (and I might be a damn homer don't give a frick)

By all accounts the last few months he has been humbled by the way he was put out on his arse by USCw. Through his HC stops he tried to do too much as both an OC and all HC duties. He came to Tuscaloosa to visit with Saban and the Bama staff and likely feel out the position and meet all Bama's staff. The egocentric douchebag Kiffin doesn't do that I believe and it is a sign that he will be an asset because at the core he is a very good coordinator. I also believe he will stay a while as has been mentioned, he's been a HC in both college and the NFL so he brings extensive experience. In 05 he had all the parts of an elite group on the offensive side and produced one of the greatest statistical groups in the history of college football, we aren't talking good, we are talking phenomenal production. Lane Kiffin has nowhere to go but back up and seems like a reset was/is needed and Bama will be the place. I am excited because I believe he will give it every bit of effort he can and that's scary, I also trust Saban in making the right choice and I knew the staff needed a shake-up and boy would they get it with Kiffin.

In regards to recruiting, I still believe at the end of the day all the staff are selling an easy product with Alabama and Kidpffin has proven to be a great recruiter and evaluator of talent, no one can take that away. Kiffin will likely bolster Fla and Cali recruiting and I believe is an instant impact with those 2 areas. He has been removed long enough from UT that it shouldn't have much of an effect on it or anyone still having hurt feelings. Again, end of the day he will be selling the U of Alabama.

I personally love the hire

He is a guy who is extremely versatile as even a slant nose in a 4 or a 3 tech with Elam as the 0 Texh

From a BOL poster

quote:

"Shortly after he was fired Kiffin was contacted about doing an evaluation on Bama's offense. Kiffin of course recently came to see CNS. LK told him his offense had become far and away too predictable and had too many run pass tip offs and that Nuss was known for this during his time in the PAC12. Nuss was told after the Iron Bowl he might wanna start putting out feelers. Not sure LK feels he would fit in at Bama but CNS really likes him. CNS also is considering a slight philosophy change on offense. Nothing near the HUNH...but definitely one that spreads the field more and utilizes better spacing. His biggest complaint about Nuss was his inability to create match up problems and being too rigid with his play calling. Contrary to what most everyone thinks CNS has a style he likes to run but isn't as involved in the offense as he used to be play calling wise. LK was frank with him and told him that with a top level OC there, letting him do what he needs to play calling wise, there is enough talent there to avg. 45 pts+ a game and still play ball control but the talent isn't being used properly. LK also told him we have 2 very talented QBs now that need serious work but both have more overall ability than AJ posessed. This is what I was told by someone that knows LK pretty well.

As for candidates...said LK thought they might try to snag a Chad Morris or someone of that ilk. definitely will be someone who can sell their Offense to recruits and will probably look to add a dedicated QB coach in some fashion.

Not sure Kiffen views himself as a good fit."

I just want guys on the line who can pass rush. I know him and Elam are both pretty athletic, but they're both over 330 pounds. I'm just sick of big fat lineman who can't rush.

Very interesting. I was wondering if Nuss' departure was a mutual decision.

They've asked him to cut weight before he gets on campus to around 315.

Plus Saban has played grown arse men like Dareus and Kerry Murphy outside.

If Elam comes, there's no reason to have Frazier at NG too.
