Idk why we even pursued LF. We signed a lot of great RBs last year, and while LF would be incredible, we have other pressing needs.

I'm paraphrasing here, but the word last year (or before the season started this year) wa that Saban told him that he'd love to have him, but doesn't Need him. Idk how hard he recruited after that but I remember reading that he mentioned something along those lines.

Saban tells that to all the top guys.

Also uses the "I'll win with or without you."

I'm pretty sure Saban told that to Julio too. It's just his thing, and it works. We have a lot of great players, especially at RB, so we don't NEED Fournette. It would be a great luxury to have him, but we will have success on the ground with or without him.

We have plenty of good backs. Tre is great, but it isn't like he's leagues better than Yeldon. Better? Yeah, I'd say so, but not by some large margin.

TJ's problem this year (funny how we say he had a problem when he ran for over 6.1 YPC behind a line that wasn't very good a lot of the year) was that he danced trying to find a hole. He didn't do that last year. Was last year's line that good, or was this year's line that bad?

This year's OL was the 1st time we've seen a dip in the talent level related to Stout not being able to really go out and recruit the guys he wanted (due to possible Miami junk he had hanging in the balance) that is why the OL class is 8 deep this years class.

OL was that bad

Yeah, we usually have a few guys who will get drafted. CyKo and Steen are the only guys who played significant snaps this year who I think would for sure be drafted. Arie if he comes back is probably a late round pick after next season, and the jury is still out on Grant Hill.

wasn't our point total up per game. I wonder what our YPG was compared to last year

No Hill was a monster for what he accomplished this yr as a TF and sky is the limit on him, he is athletic enough to slide back inside if Mario wants him too

I think part of that was because we scored more ST and defensive TDs than the last couple of years, or it felt that way, maybe it really wasn't.

448.9 YPG this year
445.5 YPG last year

It works. I use a version of this on my wife:

"I'll have sex with our without you."

I've said things like that to my gf. She didn't find it very funny.

Not tre himself but a back that could create his own hole and we trusted in a critical situation. As great as Yeldon/Drake are they are still lightning and slightly slower lightning.
