Cornwell has not played enough football to win the starting job as a true freshman. His battle will be with town. Coker would be a great guy to have in the transition
This is the way I see it too. I don't think most people realize how little football he has played. And as Trey mentioned he's recovering from a knee injury. Coker is too but I think his was much less serious.
All that aside, you never want a true freshman starting at QB no matter how talented and polished he is. Too many hurdles.

They have pretty decent bagmen there in case you didn't notice last year

I would love to land Coker like everyone else, but don't sleep on Bateman. He has the skill set to be very, very good. His problem is that he faced marginal competition in high school and he needs to adjust to the speed of SEC football. He runs a 4.6 and has a big arm.
Give him time.
Give him time.

The Gus Bus will be making a stop Sunday afternoon to have their in home visit with McMillan. His coach thinks it is a Alabama/tOSU battle.

** Florida State did not visit Marlon Humphrey this week. He's at the Alabama-Mississippi all-star game and coaches are not allowed to have face-to-face contact at those events. However, I'm told Humphrey has had multiple extended phone calls with FSU coach Jeremy Pruitt this week. Pruitt also made a stop in Birmingham to meet with Humphrey's father this week.
fricking Pruitt.
