@rivalsmike: Honestly if Hand picked #Alabama tomorrow I wouldn't be stunned. This is very close according to a great source.

if we get Hand that'll seriously help not landing Zo Carter (if UGA lands him) and/or Evans (who is far from over, but 1/3 chance ain't good enough to count on)

I f we land Hand & keep Miller & land Elam losing Hubbard would have little to no effect IMO

Auburn High School star Rashaan Evans was among the crowd of recruits in attendance at Alabama's home victory over LSU last weekend and Evans, along with his parents and younger brother, all came away impressed by their time on campus. "The atmosphere was just electric," said Evans' father Alan Evans. "Rashaan had a great time and it was great seeing the campus but just being there in that stadium was a highlight. It felt special to be there."

Evans' father said the Tide's continued success this season has confirmed everything the Evans family has liked about Alabama from early on. "At Alabama, you know you're going to be developed properly," Alan said. "You're going to receive the coaching and the training you need to give you the best possible chance of getting to the NFL. They've proven that year after year. There's a lot of competition at Alabama for sure but like I always discuss with Rashaan, if you're going to be the best you can't be afraid of competition. Competing is how you become better."

"It was great to get to talk to Coach Saban and Coach Smart for a few minutes. My wife has always loved Coach Saban from the very beginning. I think as soon as she met him, she really fell in love with the way Alabama operates.

Hand would be a end though. Both Carter and Evans would be jacks

There's gotta be some sexual undertones to what you posted here.

Hand? Check. End? Check. Jacks? Check.

Switch them around a few times and you have an erotica novel.

Agreed...what I meant though is Elam moves A'Shawn outside and Miller can play Jack

DL in a yr or so looks like Hand - Elam - A'Shawn then you could even move Hand outside A'Shawn in to 2 or 3 tech & Allen at end in Dime/Nickel

Hand is athletic and fast enough to be a mean end & strong & big enough to handle a 5 tech as well

Jon Allen is already getting some serious PT even as a TF and smaller size because of his strength & tenacity at end

It gives Rumph SO MANY options if we land Hand IMO

There won't be enough Jergens in the world if our 2015 3rd and long frick up the QB package is

Evans - Hand - A'Shawn - Elam - Allen - Miller

The QB wouldn't have but 0.13 seconds, wouldn't matter who the frick was back playing in the secondary

On another (non-fap worthy) topic, why haven't any of our EEs signed a Financial Aid agreement with us yet?

Not that it matters in the long run, but considering that we have around 8 commitments that plan on enrolling early you'd think someone would want to get that ball rolling.

I'm still confused on this rule change and I'm not sure what it really means.

Does the athlete have to tell people they signed FAA?

Folks in Tuscaloosa seem pleased with how Rashaan Evans' visit went over the weekend, and Tide DC Kirby Smart is pushing hard. That said, someone with knowledge of Evans' recruitment told us he believes this is still an Auburn-UGA battle at the moment. He wouldn't rule out Bama, but thinks AU and UGA are still in the lead group. Additionally, the source thinks Auburn is trending a little bit and would give the Tigers a slight edge at the moment.

For Auburn, this would seem to be good news since Evans is expected to be at the next 2 games at Jordan-Hare.

Obvioulsy, this is a fluid situation ... but that is what we've been told this afternoon.

I don't think the financial side has explored that option since it is so new & a lot of times the Bama staff are cautious & let other schools be the labrats to see the pro's & con's

It would be a different situation if Saban or Bama staff under Saban had trouble or showed a hard time hanging on to prospects who commit but to me one of the biggest strengths of the staff after evals & offers is preparing kids who want to commit for the proper expectations, so in my mind it isn't totally necessary, until it is fully comprehended & 1 or 2 prospects want to approach that possibility

just my .02

Is it true that Christian Miller visited UGA last weekend after canceling his trip to T-town? If true, I think we're basically going to have to re-recruit him to hang on to him.

I don't know if he is considered an "insider" or not because we can't post on their board (he may even be able to post on ours - I don't know) but this is in the Auburn Recruiting thread regarding Evans:

quote:

I fully expect Evans to sign with Alabama.

quote:

Where there is smoke there is probably somewhat of a fire. Auburn doesn't interest the kid, he's lived here his entire life and never fully expressed the interest in Auburn like he has with other schools.

It's just a matter of reality right now. His parents want him at Alabama, Saban has the means to get him there, and the next alternative would be UGA.

Just thought I'd pass it along.
