We might as well stop recruiting any Alabama kid who is interested in FSU. We have no shot. :sarcasm:

They are just the new kids on the block with a DC that has strong ties to our state.

Actually, that helps our situation believe it or not. Madrecus didn't get the Bama offer and signed with Arkansas, then got into trouble. Word is Bobby doesn't want the same to happen to Marlon. He'd prefer he stay close to home.

If he thought that his kids being far away from home would mean trouble he wouldn't have took the whole family to visit.

So the story on Hootie per 247 is that his family has a big church function on Sunday and would not be able to come with him on the OV, thereby defeating the purpose of an official visit. The plan is to reschedule.

What really sucks about it is that this would be their last game opportunity since we play Chattanooga the same week LSU plays ATM. The good news is that CNS and co would have more time to spend with them whenever they come.

Perception is reality in recruiting though, if FSU took Winston, Hump, and Payne that would be the top player instate during 3 out of 4 recruiting cycles while we are dominating college football. Don't pretend like it won't have an impact.

I agree. Bobby Bowden was on TV talking about how he went in to Bama and took Winston. Its our own fault. We should've never even looked at Kiel?

Eddie Lacy tearing things up.

If LF has any worries about being a Alabama back and sharing carries he should just look at his own statesman who came from LA, was a 2nd round pick and is now looking dominate.

Lacy started one year and became a 2nd rounder and is making these waves.

This is a very good look for us.

You have to wonder what church function would come up that they would not know about until the week of his visit. Had they known about it a couple weeks ago they could have come for the TN game or even the bye week. Seems like mama does not want her son to leave home.

How the runningbacks fair in the NFL is meaningless to Alabama. I hope he understands that. The fact of the matter is the last two running backs to go in the first round were from Alabama. Then the last one went into the second round. If you a 1a running back under Saban you will play on Sundays.

It isn't meaningless it is good publicity. Besides it will shut up the haters which say all our RBs are busts.

But its on the player at that point. Being a bust in the NFL isn't a result to playing at Alabama. NFL Scouts evaluated your tape to the point they would risk their jobs on picking you up so early. It isn't Alabama's problem you suck.

Who said it wasn't on the player? The point is people, players, parents look at that and that was a positive showing especially considering how much they bring up the university when speaking of him. I am obviously speaking about LF recruitment and how LSU fans highlight two of our past RBs to bash while ignoring their own state RB which is tearing things up.

In short, stop adding words to my posts.

Had nothing to do with GK...only way we could've landed Winston is if Saban would've hired D. Craig and that wasn't happening...he followed Craig. We are lucky as shite Craig wasn't where he is now (at AU)

I also loved Gruden talking about him all night. How he didn't have much tread on the tires because of the offensive system Bama has and how any great RB should consider Bama because of what can be accomplished there . I love Gruden and always will for obvious reasons (Tampa Bay) but he really gets it!! One of my favorite analyst/announcers
