I know Cornwell is visiting on the 16th but isn't expected to throw. I really wish he would to determine if he gets an offer. I'd like to wrap up our QB in this class before June. I know that's when we will decide who to go after all of them throw at camp.

I really wish we'd just go ahead and offer the guy. He is basically saying "if Bama offers me, I'm committing to them" in every interview he does. I have always thought the "come throw for us to get your offer" policy was just a tactic to get talented QBs on campus anyway, and that doesn't seem to be an issue with this kid. I don't want to see it blow up in our faces on this one.

Dude - no disrespect - but don't be critical of the process that got us Parker McLeod.

This may be the hold up:

I heard from a 2015 recruit in Madison this week that Coach Saban is telling every potential commit and their families they need to be absolutely certain they are 100% firm to Alabama when they commit. He said he was intense when discussing it with his family. He knows others who wanted to commit but were told to wait until they were absolutely certain.

I'm sure this was always his policy but it seems he is stepping it up with this class because of all the drama last recruiting season.

So why did he let Bo commit even though he was pretty much saying "I'm 100% to Bama" in one breath and "I'm still wide open and plan on taking all my visits" in the next?

Kinda sucks because I'm yearning for that commit fix, but I can't complain because there is nothing worse than the de-commit drama bs.

Truthfully too, while I love the early commits, it always seems like we have to say no to better players in the end due to the ones we took early (or we have uncomfortable partings with them).

I think Bo is the outlier. He may know for certain he's coming to Bama, or he might actually be the leaping point for Saban to start it.

It's vague though, so it may not mean no visits whatsoever. It may just being a driving home point for Saban that makes the recruit seriously think before committing to anyone.

Bo is 100% coming to Bama. Saban has never stood in the way of letting his commits take their visits.

Who knows how reliable it is.
