Not recruiting related but this isn't worthy of it's own thread. I saw Fluker at lunch at the YMCA in Daphne a bit ago with a bunch of other college players. When you are noticably bigger than some of the largest men on the planet to begin with, thats big. I knew he was big but he is big, massive and solid.

If anyone wants to hop in on the Lacy/Fournete thread on the crutin board, there is some good stuff there.

That ProjectP guy is usually a decent poster but he is going full dumbfrick ranter in that thread.

If I hadn't met a lot of decent LSU fans when they played us in Tuscaloosa I would swear that they have the dumbest, trashiest fanbase in all of sports. Including Philadelphia.

There is definitely not another group who reserves more virulent hatred for anyone who leaves their state though. Holy shite. None of us even gave a shite that Winston went to FSU or Golson took OM's job offer. UA or AU fans.

They just dont want to admit that they fricked up Eddies recruitment and he is the best college back from that state since he entered college. I think we might have similar problems if Kwon turns into a first rounder.

Him too. None of us really got bothered by it. Neither did Auburn fans. It's fricking weird how much LSU fans despise anyone who doesn't want to spend his entire life in Louisiana.

I wouldn't really call it a problem if Kwon does well there. It isn't as if we are hurting for linebacker talent. He's probably too small to ever be a first rounder anyway. He just fits their system better. He'd probably have spent a couple of offseasons just putting on weight had he taken our GS offer.

I honestly don't think we'll care. We're fine with our linebackers and we win.

Ya, I guess being the best program in the last 2 decades helps any recruiting losses.

Sorry nothing big, some LSU fans are just worried about losing LF since they lost out on the last great LA running back. I believe he is visiting Bama this week with his teammate we just offered.

Lorenzo Carter is doing a bi-monthly recruiting diary for 247Sports. Here are a few highlights from the first installment:

quote:

Last week, I talked to [Alabama football coach] Nick Saban and [LSU coach] Les Miles. On Friday, I talked to [Georgia assistant] Bryan McClendon. Even though I've been focused on basketball, the football coaches have been great with it.

quote:

My GPA is in the 3's. My parents are really on top of me. My mom [Lisa] is an accountant. My dad [Leo] is a driver for the V.A. They threaten to take my phone away all the time to keep me from talking to coaches and stuff. My friends say they're harder on me than most parents are on their kids. Right now, they're trying to keep me at straight-A's this year. That's our goal.

On March 16, I'm visiting Alabama.
