I really want Evans to be a part of this class. I just don't see it happening. UGA or AU bound IMO. Thoughts?

Evans is saying all the right things, but he is an Auburn legacy.

I know we are after him, but I think we are too late. We may get into the discussion if we can get Reuben to recruit for us and Auburn starts to tank.

Look for us to land ex-Auburn RB Jovon Robinson. He had an academic issue that kept him from ever playing on the Plains, but he is lighting it up at Georgia Military Academy. He loves Bama and he has the attitude the he does not care about our depth at the RB position.

I expect he will be our one and only RB in this class FWIW.

That would be interesting to say the least after all the shite Bama fans gave Auburn fans over his little transcript issue.

I can't remember whether Jovon enrolled full- time at Auburn. If he did he would have 3 years to play 3. If he did not he would have 5 years to play 5. In either case he would be draft eligible after next season (like TJ and Drake)

USA Today has an article from yesterday that indicates he'll likely have to spend next year at GMC too:

quote:

Because Robinson enrolled at Georgia Military in the spring, there's a slight chance he could earn enough credits to transfer to an NCAA Division I school and play next fall. More likely, he'll play two seasons of junior college ball and then end up back at a BCS conference school,

I want Evans as well, but we did sign Tim Williams correct. OLB from BR. Pure speed rusher.

UGA staff feels really good about Evans, with AU as the biggest threat

ETA. Rusty Mansell says that Robinson is Bama's if y'all want him

That is what I suspected was him having to play 2 years I assume the 1 yr deal would be him taking enough credits 3 semester to make up for 2 yrs

Just a guess though

I was very high on this kid and liked him more than Yeldon in that recruiting class. I really hope we get him.

I know we want another tackle in this class and Brian Wallace is it. Other than David Sharpe he is the most athletic lineman in this class. He didn't hit the scene until recently, but he is legit. Long term I could seem him being our LT and Can moving to the right, assuming we land both. Dom Jackson would move inside, the position he is playing now in JUCO.

From what I can tell we will take 2-3 safety's in this class with Clark, Hampton, and Hootie being the candidates.

We don't get a TE in this class. Lautua is going elsewhere. Not because he wants to go somewhere else, but he doesn't fit our offense. He can't block and he's a marginal pass catcher.

I think Holcombe is our best bet to play H-Back in this class.

He's crystal balled to Iowa by a couple of dudes. He appears to be one of their targets.

Christian Miller is visiting UGA for the LSU game this weekend. Most likely not a big deal since he's solid by all accounts, just fyi

Sounds like he doesn't fit anyone's offense.

Actually I take that back. Sounds perfect for Va Tech
