Charles Mosley worked out at NG Sunday. People in attendance said he performed very well.

Speaking of QBs, one of our "friends" on the LSURb just posted a very interesting video, one of which I have not watched in a while. We are all getting caught up in who our 2014 QB will be and are forgetting that we have do have have a 5-star QB on our roster.

I present to you Cooper Bateman's Highlight Video in all of it's gloriousness.

Brandon Harris said he didnt drop A+M because he wants to be the only QB in the class, said it was because they are only taking 1.

I'm sold on batemans arm talent, but there's just something about him that says he doesn't have "it"

He just seems like a timid kid that won't get in his teammates face and lead. Albeit we've all seen him in limited action, but just in interviews and the elite 11 that was televised last year, he seemed like more of a follower than a leader. And while he is talented, he isn't David Cornwell talented. Saban even vaguely hinted at this during the crimson caravan, that he wasnt sure that the QB of the future was on campus yet. Lsu can have Harris, he's not in cornwells level

way to early to tell any of that kind of stuff. how many guys are vocal outspoken leaders on a defending national championship team in spring practice before their true freshman year, which they will redshirt? at the moment he is probably just still trying to figure out where he should be standing. dude has a big arm and some pretty good mobility. Its nice to be able to say that about at least 3 of the backup QBs on our current roster (bateman, del rio, morris (people on the team have said he has perhaps the biggest arm of all the QBs)). we have come a long way.

I'm a fan of Bateman but the trend I noticed watching him play in televised games and 7 on 7s as well as reading about him at camps is that he usually struggles early but settles down and plays well down the stretch. He looked bad in the 1st quarter playing Max Browne's team but was making NFL throws in the 2nd half. Not sure if it's nerves or it just takes him a while to find his rhythm. I'm sure it's something Nuss can work on. And his mobility is very very underrated. Could've easily been classified as a dual threat QB IMO

i seem to remember something about his team switching coaches after his junior year and the overall quality of play for the team tanking his senior year. also, he was playing in Utah with and against a bunch of slow white kids. im sure it takes a little while to adjust to the kind of elite athletes he sees on the bama defense in practice and that he saw in camps. Thats really my only concern about Cornwell. If you pay attention to his film, there is maybe 1 non-white kid in the entire video on either team.

Malik Rosier is throwing for the staff today.

Apparently Kevin Steele was looking for Elisha Shaw to take to Saban to talk as well.

I read that yesterday. Good read even if the premise is an obvious one - we recruit big and fast prospects. Some good quotes by Cignetti and others. The one about Saban preferring a 6' athlete over a 5'8 natural corner was spot on
