That Broome/Cardwell duo was a nightmare and before that they had the best defensive player and anchor in college basketball (Kessler). They've been able to allow their guards to apply reckless pressure and funnel the ball to their rim protectors. It's nice that we won't have to worry about that this year.

Having said all that, I think we have a very similar concern in that department

anyone know our record in these exhibitions over the last 4-5 years? Feels like we've won maybe one of them.

False, TBB and Sherrell are going to be #1 and #2 in the country in blocked shots and our paint defense will be suffocating. Hannah will be Herb Jones, but even better, and we will also lead the country in forced turnovers. So it is written, so it shall be.

im friggin pumped. hopefully we'll be allowed to have some kind of discussion about it on the board this year. as every other subreddit has a basketball thread pinned to the top of their board and ours is pinned to the bottom collecting dust for some retarded reason.

frick you, chicken! butthurt ahh loser.

Off the top of my head: Under Oats

2020: GT-win (blowout)
2021: Covid
2022: Can’t remember
2023: Southern Illinois-Sloppy win
2024: WF- Loss. (19pt halftime lead)
2025: WF- Blowout win
2025: Memphis- Sloppy win

Since Oats had been here we usually win them. The one we didn’t win we made the Final 4 that year.

I believe TCU blew our doors off one year.

ETA: actually it was only a four point loss and Sam Walters dropped 29.

Your memory is mostly correct. I believe those were called "secret scrimmages", but 2022 (Miller year) TCU beat us by 30 which is really hard to fathom considering that team was pretty electric from the get go and TCU wasn't great. 2023, was back and forth with TCU

I thought I remembered a surprising blow out to TCU in there somewhere.

Holloway is so out of control to me at times. It's going to melt me all year.

Our capacity at Coleman is still listed different all over the place. It was 15,383 or 15,032 forever based on when they took out some seats for press/obstructed view but added the floor seats. Tusc News article from last year lists it at 15,316 but our sellouts are only 13,474. I wish they would report that accurately. It makes it look like we have a bunch of empty seats.

Our own rolltide.com website lists is as 14,474 which is obviously 1000 too many again based on our sellouts. >> LINK

I'm not sure why this bothers me. Rtr

I thought he played good.

Nothing really stood out but he did his normal blue collar stuff.

Playing today at 2. If anyone finds a stream outside of ESPN+, let me know. I’m not signing up for it just to watch an exhibition game.
