Florida State had one of these games today, too.
If this was just a one game thing, I wouldn’t be as alarmed. This has been the new normal for us

At what point do we officially become NOT a good three point shooting team?
I'd say we are already there, but perception is playing into that. Our season average is probably still fine, and we take so many misses are magnified somewhat. We also don't have that clutch 3-point shooter. They're all streaky as hell, and Primo, Reese, and Shack have just been bad over the last few weeks. Petty just disappears from the game too often.

As noted above, it's absolutely a personel issue. We don't have many great finishers nor do we have bigs around the basket.
Shack is the best we have.....there is no Releford or Sexton ok this roster who just finished through contact at the rim. Most of our guys rely on trickiness around the rim.
Honestly, Petty is probably the most physical finisher, but he just rarely gets to the rim. I dunno if it's his dribble issues on hard drives or what, but I'd love to him attack more.
All of that is also why we get so few fouls called. Shack specifically is always falling sideways and not going into guys because he'll get his shot blocked.

Yeah, hard to believe the main weakness of our accomplished team is layups.
Only down 6 to a determined UGA team.

JD can make tough layups and finish at the rim.

A side note, CBS production quality is significantly better than ESPN.

We are the most Jekyll and Hyde team in the SEC.
See our first 10 minutes vs our last 10 minutes.
Good luck Bammers
I’ll see you in an hour after we blow yet another halftime lead to y’all.

Primo -8
Miles +8
Miles was born to shake a team out of a funk where they're hesitant to shoot.

We've been better the last month (our "bad" period) than any team we've had in a decade.
Just for the record.

Yeah petty just doesn't have much ball handling skill and that's why he rarely drives

I guarantee if we give Miles some open looks he will drain at least half of them. Problem is he doesn’t know what the frick to do on defense

Bruner played 17 minutes each of the past two games. He can’t be on pace for much more than that. I guess we’re just managing his health, keeping him fresh, etc.
And Reese’s minutes have dropped a bunch the last couple games. Maybe it’s a matchup thing. Both Auburn and Georgia have relatively athletic big men.
