I'm not quite getting it anymore. It sucked last year but I got it. We didn't have bodies.

That ain't the deal this year. If we are just waiting for him to finally become a consistent pick and pop 3 pt shooter......well good fvckin luck with that.

Maybe I’m being a sunshine pumper, but it’s way too early in the season to jump out the window.

Nah, that's not sunshine pumping. At the same time though, if taking 6 or 7 games to figure our shite out on offense every year ends up being a thing then that's a big fricking problem.

Reese should be at Sanford. He might average 6 points a game and 2 rebounds

At the very least schedule the dregs of the Sun Belt and CUSA for the first 5-6 games if that is how this is gonna go.

Ellis is not available tonight for some reason that I didn't catch.

I mean I just don't get it. What the frick does he do? He doesn't rebound. He doesn't pass. He doesn't dribble. You can time him baseline to baseline with a sundial. Literally all he does is be tall and make the occasional 3. That's not good enough to get major minutes at a P-6 college program.

Alex Reese’s 3-point shooting, last 9 games:

vs. TAMU: 1-3
vs. MISS: 2-6
vs. MSST: 1-6
vs. SC: 1-5
vs. VAND: 1-9
vs. MIZ: 0-3

vs. JXST: 0-4
vs. STAN: 1-4

vs. UNLV tonight: 0-3

Reese is 7 of his last 43 three-pointers (16%).

This is on Oats at this point

I know it’s game 3, but I’ve seen enough to know it’s not going to be a good year unless something drastically changes. The offense looked deadly last year. This year, it’s a disjointed, out of control mess. George is right, if you have to have a lottery pick running the point to make it work, it ain’t gonna work long term. I like Nate Oats a lot but I’m not sure his system translates to high major programs well.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Alabama basketball is most successful with long, athletic players that play sound fundamentals and just outathlete most opposition. Play good D, get a lot of fast break points off steals and rebounds where you just outrun them down the floor and run an offense that emphasizes quickness, speed and athleticism.

I would be concerned if Ellis is just being benched. That wouldn’t make much sense to me.

I don’t like his timidity on offense, but he can help us. Primo is doing freshmen shite at times, but he’s a guy who could be one of our better players in 2 months.

Reese is just Reese. I don’t 100% know what Rojas is yet, but I’m pretty sure he’s going to give me a fricking aneurysm at some point this season.

Not giving up on this season but this is feeling like every single season I’ve experienced for the past 15 years and I want to die

What makes it more frustrating is when our opponent is executing our own team’s offensive strategy better than us. UNLV has been getting easy layups and knocking down good looks from 3. Meanwhile we can’t consistently get a good look from anywhere on the floor.

Yep - they run similar stuff to us and have been light years smoother and faster and better at it.
