He makes 3s at the same clip as your average junior high athlete in PE class. I could roll off my couch right now and make 5/20 which is about what Reese does

UNLV has someone back every time we try to fast break. But we try it anyway and force a quick, bad shot and we’re going the other way again.

Getting worse than we were last year in year two under a new staff is honestly kind of impressive. This kind of ineptitude is something you have to actually work at to achieve.

If you’re going to play this style then you need to go recruit 3 things.
A rim protector, a fast point guard with handles, and about 6 guys that can shoot the daylights out of the ball. Not 6’5” rangy players that get hot every now and then, the 6’2” white kids from Iowa and Minnesota and Indiana with a consistent fundamental stroke that end up at places like NIU or Northern Iowa and go on elite 8 runs because they take high percentage 3s and drain them.
A guy like Alex Reese that shoots 8 threes per game and makes 2 is wasting possessions. He’s just not a great shooter but insists on shooting.

I think we’ll win this game, but we do need to figure some things out.
I would play off of Bruner more. He’s the best passer on the team. Have guys moving and cutting off of him.
Primo, Quinerly, and Herb have to be able to penetrate effectively.
In fact, I think Primo’s development is really important to this team.
