Cal getting out of another loss and taking out Alabama for stealing his lunch money this year.

Yeah I'm thinking we're about to get kicked in the balls by contact tracing.

Its been 3 days. If our guys test negative today I think we good. Hopefully it was a UK staffer and not one of their players

If it was just a staff member I can't imagine why that would prevent them from playing a game tomorrow. Surely they all got tested before leaving Lexington for Tuscaloosa though right? Hopefully whatever caused the positive tests happened on Wednesday.

Bracketology: Surging Alabama moves up to a No. 2 seed in new NCAA Tournament bracket projection

quote:

A new bracket is posted and Alabama continues its rise up the chart. The Crimson Tide, who moved up to a No. 2 seed in Friday's bracket projection, is undefeated in the SEC and has won 10 in a row overall. Those wins include games at Tennessee and LSU and they will travel to Oklahoma to face another hot team in the Sooners on Saturday as part of the SEC/Big 12 Challenge. OU has won four straight, the last two of which were against Kansas at home and at Texas.

quote:

Will teams opt-out of conference tournaments?

Another thing the committee may have to deal with that it has not had to before is the possibility of teams that perceive themselves to be locks for at-large bids opting out of their conference tournament.

That could put the committee in an uncomfortable position of deciding whether to take the winner of a watered down conference tournament as an automatic qualifier. The committee has always left deciding the automatic qualifier up to the conferences in the past.

There is also some talk that some conferences may just cancel their tournaments and declare the regular season champion as the winner. Those decisions do not have to be made yet.

They better not have spread it to us. That would suck.

I know everyone rags on Arkansas for their OOC schedule (#298), but Oklahoma's wasn't a whole tougher at #276.

Alabama's is #76.

LSU is the best AdjO we have faced this season at #6.

Oklahoma's AdjO is #19 and will be the second best we've played.

I would guess because of contact tracing and that staff member being in close contact with players.

But most of this is all just speculation since none of the schools really release much info. Honestly, as banged up as we are right now, having a couple of games canceled because of Covid(assuming nobody suffers serious symptoms) could do us some good for our stretch run and tourney. Get Herb, Reese, and Bruner back close to 100%.

Oklahoma's AdjD is #40.

Higher ranked AdjD we've played already:

Tennessee #2
Stanford #9
Kentucky (2x) #17
Clemson #18
Ole Miss #20
Arkansas #38

We averaged 74 ppg against those teams.

George, you are better at Kenpom than I am so if something doesn't look right, please let me know. I think I got all that correct though.
