Yeah but the good news is that our W in Auburn will probably end up being a Q1 win. It almost is already. I think they're like 79 in NET right now.

Excellent.

We'll have to see how well we can play with no Bruner and Herb. Personally, I think we're a better offensive team without Herb, as long as Rojas isn't in there in his place. But, we're worse at everything else when he's not out there, so it's a net negative. And Bruner was playing well on both ends of the court. We really don't have a replacement for him. Reese is playing pretty well, but he struggles defending athletic bigs.

Rojas can do things that help us, but him continuing to think he’s a point guard and slash to the basket is not one of them. Him dribbling rarely leads to a positive for the team. Maybe Oats and staff can help him realize that.

I'm very curious to see how he and Rojas look against 7'3" Connor Vanover.

It sucks we probably won't have Herb to guard Moody. Need to keep Petty, Primo and Ellis out of foul trouble, because those three Arkansas guards will eat Shack and JQ (if he plays) for lunch if they are left out on an island for long stretches.

Yeah, I guess if he'd just get in there and fight for rebounds, it might not be so bad. But, the dude is like a black hole when the ball goes to him. It's not coming back. And he has zero offensive skills. If he doesn't lose the ball before he gets to the basket, he gets blocked because he has a 2 inch vertical. Get rebounds and put-backs, otherwise don't touch the ball, Rojas.

I doubt he will be playing much if at all or at least he shouldn't be

He can do some great things in the right situation but is way too much of a liability, especially against a team with great pace.

I would guess Jackson and Williams will be out there at the 4 and 5. There was a small chance that Smith is ready to play but I doubt it, although we really need him in a match up like this.

Makes sense. I haven't got to watch you guys play much this year yet, but i'm pretty sure the Avery staff recruited Vanover a bit. It's always fun to see a guy with that height out on the floor.

After a rocky start, Alabama is in sole possession of first-place in the SEC and remains the conference’s only undefeated. The Tide have body-slammed Florida, gotten their first win over a top 10 road team in almost 20 years, beaten Kentucky for just the fourth time in two decades — along the way, handing the Wildcats their third-worst home loss ever, and broken the six-year curse of Auburn Arena.

Rojas could be so valuable during this stretch if he would just play his role: defend, rebound, shoot the occasional wide open 3. Maybe sometimes take the ball to the hole if he gets somebody to buy a pump fake. But to get him to do that I think Oats has to have a quick hook.

Look at the Kentucky game. He comes into the game in the first half and promptly does Rojas things (2 or 3 terrible drives, turns it over, has his shot blocked, etc.). Then Oats quickly pulled him and had him sit for a long time (I think the rest of the half, but I could be wrong).

When he came back into the game he mostly just played his role.

Man, Carolina has really struggled with covid.

I don’t know man. If JQ is missing, we’lol be missing our 3 most important players.

That’s why we desperately need Quinerly back. He’s just about the only guy we have that can drive to the hoop with any consistency.

Now 7/20, so they went 2/11 in the second quarter and scored only 12 points.
