Boy, Iowa State sucks. Steve Prohm can't have a ton of rope there.
3 of the last 4 years they've been awful. 18-40 in the BXII the last 4 seasons.

Bruner finally had a nice statistical performance to get the detractors off his back.
Really glad about this one. His value is much more than whatever his stat line is each night. I just wish Oats would play him more.

Yep - per KP we've played the #3 hardest conference schedule to date.
That also doesn’t take into account the difference Cooper makes for that Auburn team. I’m not sure how well a player of that size (6 foot is incredibly generous) and athletic ability (not really quick or athletic) projects in the NBA, but he’s going to dominate in college.

To think some fans wanted Prohm to get a shot at the Bama job on a couple occasions... dodged a bullet there. It had Mark Gottfried written all over it.

Agree - they go from a 6-12 team to a 8-10 or 9-9 team with him. Powell is a good player too, and we missed him.

Even worse - his recruiting was all JuCo/Transfer stuff. At least Gottfried could recruit/cheat. Prohm is a mid major coach who got to coach at a program where every coach wins (Murray). Would have been an awful, awful hire.
His recruiting style is very similar to his predecessor, The Mayor Hoiberg, who was discussed and is struggling mightily at Nebraska. They might be worse this year than they were last year.

Also, I know Covid limits fans but this was a road game. That Arena is so small it got Noisy when Auburn made their runs.

To be fair, that program is the most hopeless high-major program in the country and would take even the most respected coach more than 2 years to turn around. They’ve yet to win an NCAAT game. A single game. And to think we complain because we’ve only been past the Sweet 16 once.

I hope Bruner decides to come back. His value to the team is very very high

Yeah, Wednesday was rough. I had to sleep in the recliner Wednesday night because if I laid down I couldn’t breathe. Idk if I wanna get a test to confirm it or not. But the curiosity might kill me
The loss of taste and smell are the most consistent tell tales. If you can taste or smell, you might have it or you might have the flu. If you can't taste or smell, bet your bottom dollar you have the Rona.

That's a good point, howver, Miles program was basically solid but not good enough. Hoibergs 2 teams have been worse than all but 1 or 2 of Miles teams.
So far his transfer work hadn't been nearly as good a hit rate as it was at Iowa St.

Yeah I know. He was already looking to turn pro after last season.
His IQ is going to be missed.

Q isn’t gonna be eligible to come back until Arkansas next Saturday if he did test positive this past Monday.

I don't know if there is a new strain out there that is more virtulant or just coincidence, but we've had 4-5 very fit people at our firm come down with it in the last 7-10 days and have serious breathing issues - 2 of them had to get airborne steroids to take or else they would have had to go to the hospital it was so bad.
There's a different strain out there for sure. It's documented, but I don't know much they monitor for it. I'm sure the regular tests don't check for it.
One thing in thing Mistaken said in his post and you mentioned about your co-workers that I want to bring up is the breathing issue.
Folks, listen. Most folks with COVID do just fine but if you've got symptoms and start to feel like you're having trouble catching your breath, unless you've got the ability to check and monitor your SpO2 level GO TO THE DOCTOR.
Don't sit there hoping it will get better. It might, but if it goes the other way and you wait too long you're going to be in a very bad place. I had it and was monitoring mine. As soon as it dropped into the low 90s, I was at the ER. Got steroids and in less than 24 hours I was clearly getting better.
On the other hand, we (for those that don't know I work on an ambulance) ran 3 at home COVID deaths in a community of about 6,000 between the day before Christmas and New Years' eve. All had breathing problems but didn't seek treatment for whatever reason. All had people living in the home with them that tried to get them to go. One simply laid down to sleep and never woke up, another was sleeping in the recliner because it helped her breath. Her husband checked on her at 3a and when he checked again at 8a she was dead. The third went into cardiac arrest while talking to his family. We revived him in the field but he died 6 days later because his lungs were so bad even intubated his SpO2 never got above the mid-80s.
Maybe they die anyhow if they go for treatment, but without it they didn't have a chance. Don't take the same risk.
