Did we win?? I went to feed the dogs, and came back and we were winning, so I came to the conclusion that I was a jinx. Didn’t know if it was me watching or posting, so I couldn’t check either. Corny ole just came on ESPN news, so I figured it was over

Payback for the game we lost in Knoxville last year which we had no business losing. The worm turned.

Hell of a game by Petty.
He battled hard against the guard that likes mid range shots and made some big shots himself

Also Quinerly was absolutely key to both of our SEC wins so far. His defensive lapses are still annoying, but he’s just hugely important to our offense.
And I think he’s now shown that he definitely can get to the rim. Tennessee’s a legit defensive team, and he was giving them serious problems.

Just checking in to say that I was on the “bama will compete for the SEC championship this year” train all off season

Petty just missed one shot and a free throw the whole game.

Anyone got the tweet from the Barner saying that “something big is brewing in Tuscaloosa”

It'd be cool if we had the lightbulb moment with the offensive flow, because unlike most years we haven't destroyed our resume yet

He actually made a decent dish to Bruner late which helped bigly.

Petty finished 7-for-8 from the floor, including 4-for-4 from three-point range, and had six rebounds. Only one of his points was from the free-throw line.
Senior wing Herb Jones Jr. had 11 points and eight rebounds, and freshman guard Joshua Primo netted 11 and five boards.
Guard Jahvon Quinerly had 10 points and six assists as Alabama handed Tennessee its first loss of the season (7-1, 1-1 SEC).
Damn Petty was on fire. Also, Primo is starting to gain confidence I guess

That's back to back games the team has smashed really good defensive squads. The offense is starting to get in sync like last year.
Still aren't perfect either. Can't play flawless of course, but the shots around the rim and at the charity stripe will have to improve. But what a fricking win by Oats in year two.

Quinerly is starting to play like we thought he would

You know what I'm gonna do?
I'm gonna go smoke a victory cigar.
