I think Furman is a good match up for us. Look back to last year - we played pretty well against less athletic mid majors, the only exception being the very first game against Penn when Herb got hurt early and we couldn't defend at all and lost by 1.

I think the problem Clem is having with VT, Is that VT has bigs that can match theirs. (If not better)
They also sorta match Clem's D. Which, I think we did as well, but couldn't score, or minimize our bonehead give aways.

Clemson is basically playing this entire game the way they played the last 15 minutes against us.

I wonder if we get back to the drive and kick, secondary break, 3 point game.
We're off on the 3 this year, and our really only loss was Kira.

I'm afraid if we don't we're in deep shite. Hopefully a few games against less intense/athletic defensive teams will help us get in a groove before conference play starts.

We coulda had Rick Barnes but everybody (including me) thought he was old and washed up and lost his fire. Looks like really he was tired of the bullshite that flows through the Texas athletic department like the Red River.

It's wild to me that Rick Barnes runs a program that develops kids and is uber-tough. His Texas teams the last 7-8 years he was there were basically the opposite of that. I didn't think he'd be any good at all.

Sure would be nice if Alabama basketball could ever beat teams of equal or better talent. Maybe it’ll happen in the next 50 - 75 years and my son can see it.

Agreed . Tired of looking great against Jax State type teams and getting my hopes up to get handled by similarly talented teams early in the year putting us fighting like hell all year to get on or off the bubble . Tired . Of. It.
