I saw Chuck Davis at a Bham area gas station the day we beat Kentucky early in Grant's tenure. 2005 or 2006 I want to say. I asked him if we were gonna pull it out that night, and he said you know it, Roll Tide.

I hope Oats stays forever, because if he does he is 100% going to turn into basketball Steve Spurrier and it's going to be awesome.

Alabama’s had 5 games this year in which it had fewer than 10 turnovers.

4 of those 5 games were in March.

Out of Curiosity, I was wondering what happened to Chuck Davis.

Did ya'll know he plays professional in Turkey and is on the Azerbaijan National Team?

He is now Azerbaijanian?

Seems so weird.

He hasn't played professionally since 2016, according to wiki

I don’t think he is enough of a vocal smart arse to match Spurrier but he’s definitely ruffled some folks feathers this year.

shite baws I'm getting nervous for UCLA. It's a great season regardless, but to have an Elite 8 appearance would be even better for momentum next season.

Does an Elite 8 appearance move this team past the '87 team?

Why was the 87 team's appearance vacated by the NCAA?

They were 28-4, which is impressive. But yeah, I'd say an elite 8 round move them ahead. But had the same SEC record, won the regular season and tournament championship. Only difference I see, is that team was expected to be good, this team was unranked preseason. And I think there's higher quality coaching throughout the SEC than ever before. So, I'm giving it to this team if they win on Sunday

McKee and an agent rings a bell but I can't recall. It didn't happen until years later if I remember correctly.

The 1987 squad rolled up a program-best 28 wins. Alabama's 1987 NCAA tournament appearance and wins were later vacated owing to a rules violation regarding an agent. Sanderson was named the SEC Coach of the Year in 1987 and 1989.
