Yeah we are clearly better than this MD team. We're not playing good enough to be up by 8 against a good team imo.

They can't guard us. Everything for us on offense is really damn easy right now.

Maybe not, but if we shoot 50% from the arc like we are tonight and play our usual stellar defense, we'll beat anyone we play. Anyone.

That was December Alabama style of defense. I'm not sure what's going on, but the energy on defense has been downright awful. Maryland is shooting well from 3 cause guys aren't switching and staying with their man. They've gotten open look after open look.

Teams with size hurts us, because it takes away our drive and kick outs. Maryland is a dream matchup for usfor sure

I think part of it is we are reacting to size differentials on individual defensive matchups with back to the basket.
And they have a lot of "advantages" there, so we are kind of overreacting and doubles and help.

The shots for them are too open (ours were pretty good too). For whatever reason, they were sort of a tough cover for us that half. We’ve got to do better with their screening and rolling/popping.

This 100%. I’d rather see them actually score 1 on 1 against us in the post before helping like we are.

Yep - and they haven't proven to be able to do it yet, either. Their points at the rim have been on drives, not back to the basket stuff.
