He has the #5 team in the country out of their game and down only one at halftime. Bama was favored by 17. Iona should not be in this game.
It's the tournament, shite happens.
Tons of close halftime games that end ugly. Pretty sure we were down 5 to Nova a few years ago and lost by roughly 104.

Y’all keep saying terrible shots but honestly Petty just bricking wide open 3s. Bruner bricked a wide open 3..
There have been a couple but IONA is contesting most everything , even at the rim

Yeah, Charles says, y'all relax down there. We got this. Lol
In all seriousness, make open shots, less turnovers, we'll be fine.

we have too many possessions where only 1 person touches the ball and we get no points.
Besides fast breaks, I’m not sure we’ve had a single possession like that all game. Perhaps a Jones drive early in the game.
Potion game planned to take drives away from us, which has contributed to many of our turnovers. They’ve also done a really good job on transition D. We haven’t really been able to capitalize on their missed shots we’ve rebounded. We just have to adjust.

We’ll soon see if you’re right. Hope you are.

Petty dribbling more than 3 times in a row
Or Reese. It’s a guaranteed TO if Reese starts dribbling the ball.

I didn't say we would win by a ton, just that these starts happen. That was an awful half.
We have 7-10 minutes to get comfortable. If we let them hang around through the 10 minute mark then it's officially time to get nervous.

“Annnd.....he dribbles the ball off his own foot”

I got down votes for this back when Petty announced he was returning. Don’t get me wrong, we needed him this year, but he is a turnover waiting to happen. It won’t cost us this game (hopefully) but will before the tournament is over.

Don’t forget that Oats keeps pulling JQ out because of bad defense and so it’s throwing the offense off.

I think/hope the guys will come out focused and play with more intensity this half . They are battle tested

The last 1:30 of that half was a horrible kick in the nuts my god. Gotta put something together offensively and put these frickers away

These first 4 minutes are going to be very important for us. I'd still try to get more shots for Ellis and Shack.

Not nervous at all. We got this

He didn’t want JQ to pick up his 3rd foul in the first half was the main reason

I think it’s fairly clear that it will be a huge struggle to make a deep run if Petty is playing poorly, so there’s nothing to do but hope he gets it together.
In the short-term you could bench him, I guess. But it’s not an attitude or effort problem, so I don’t see that as the obvious move. Not for a while at least.
