Lee was quoted in the Selma Times-Journal saying it came down to UAB and SMU because he wanted to be different by going to a small school. ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/icons/casty.gif)

At UAB he will be Memphis's whipping boy at the 3 or 4

Somebody talk to me about Isacc Haas. He's the #2 player in the state and was crystal balled 100% to UAB, but apparently flipped from Wake Forest to Purdue today.
How hard did we recruit this kid?

Not very hard at all. He's thought to be a little more talented Carl.

Ahh ok. I didn't know much about him at all, just wondering if he would be somebody we would miss down the road.

There's always that chance. I wouldn't be surprised if he was eventually a good player for Purdue. I'd rather him be successful there than UAB.

I don't think so. The kid is 7'2" and didn't seem to play much on his AAU team, and when he did he was very underwhelming. From what I can gather is he is a freshman Carl with better hands.

as much as I love uab I support this kid 100% in going to Purdue.
UAB and coach Haase are building something though.

No way Haas is the number 2 player in the state.

He isn't. Lee and Norris are easily better.

I based that off 247's ranking, not my personal opinion. I admittedly know nothing about Hass.

That's actually the composite rankings. 247's actual rankings are better.

Didn't feel like it deserved it own thread, but figured I could put it in here.

Hilarious that Grant continues to tell recruits we will play fast when we are once again in the 300s for tempo: LINK
