Very little info in this one. Reiterates that he has been to Miami and bama and will be going to Texas and Marquette before deciding. They the talk about his good showing at the Nike skills academy, no specifics. Says he needs to improve his ball handling and strength. Nothing more.

Oh boy. Maybe hes a possible diamond in the rough and we are just monitoring his play, but I certainly don't hope we are gonna reach just to fill a needed position.

If we end up landing him, he's definitely a diamond in the rough

This shite just ruined my buzz...

Free 247 article:

" COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.- With a plethora of talent in the gym for the USA Developmental National Team Mini-Camp, there might not be a better prospect in the gym than 2016 guard Josh Langford.

At 6-5, 196-pounds, Langford is a physical beast at the point guard position. But beyond his physical size and explosiveness, Langford has a mature feel for the game with a complete and high level skill package.

As a freshman at Madison (Ala.) Academy, Langford's recruitment is just getting started, but four SEC schools have already offered. Along with some smaller schools, Alabama, Auburn, Mississippi State and Tennessee have offered.

One of these SEC schools stands out to Langford.

"I really like Tennessee," Langford told 247Sports. "Coach Martin is doing a good job rebuilding the program. He's doing a good job getting talent to come there."

Only the schools that have offered Langford are showing strong interest. Only letters are coming from the other schools.

There is one school that hasn't sent any letters that Langford would love to hear from.

"Duke has been my childhood team," he said. "I haven't heard from them yet. It doesn't mean I would necessarily go there, but I'd love to hear from them.""

It's 4 years from now. I bet he will change how he feels a time or two

I read on twitter that JaJuan Johnson didn't visit Texas this weekend.

Sorry slight overreaction. I might or might not have been

Not worried much about UT being out in front. Don't like that hes a fan of a big name school like Duke, though. That can change. Or we could start some rumors that hes got sticky fingers so Coach K doesn't offer.

That's the team I'm worried about. They seem to have come from nowhere too.

Here's the latest with Johnson: LINK

I think we still lead, but Marquette is definitely coming in strong. Doesn't help that they have him for a midnight madness. Hopefully noone shows up for it...

Here's a Jarell Martin update from scout: LINK

quote:

“Coach Grant is a quality guy,” Jones said of the Tide. “He preaches character and showed that last year when he benched those starters and actually put one or two off the team. As a person he thinks Jarell would fit well with the type of student athletes he is trying to bring to Alabama. Coach Grant has been recruiting him a while and is someone he has a lot of respect for.” He continued, “At this point Jarell has yet to visit Alabama, but that is something he is trying to do. With Alabama’s up tempo style it might be a natural fit for Jarell and he is selling that.”

Yea saw that as well. Also said he is narrowing his list to 3 soon. We were on him early, but there was a cooling either from us or from him. Glad to hear were back on his list.

Just saw Zagoria say that the speculation is that the 3 he will cut it down to is Temple, St. Johns, and Syracuse.

@ebosshoops: Junior Isaac Haas from Alabama is every bit of 7 feet tall and very intriguing. Looks much improved from summer. #Lucascamp.

According to what Bossi told you, looks like we have already offered him. Grant likes his big boys to be BIG.

@ebosshoops: @Bryant91092 Maybe. We'll see. Improving but still has lots left to do. But man is he big and tough.

That's what Bossi said to me asking if Haas is a top 150 kid. He also said Haas claims a Bama offer.
