A lot of the best posters left that cesspool to form their own site last year. Dumbfricks like bleedingTNorange have attempted to fill the void.
He is a gullible motherfricker. He also believed and spread a very similar rumor on Robert Hubbs a few weeks ago. When someone calls him out he's so defensive it is pathetic.

“I haven’t talked to anybody from Tennessee, so I don’t know what’s going on,” said Hale. “The last couple of days I’ve been getting calls and texts about it, but I haven’t talked to anyone from Tennessee. I’m pretty committed to Alabama. I haven’t heard from anyone else.”
Quote from a 247 article with Hale. Not sure what to think about the 'pretty committed' comment. He also talked about rooming with Jimmie Taylor at LeBron and Amare's camp and how they talked about Alabama.

Yea im getting the feeling if someone big offers he is gone. Thats what he is waiting on. It seems we might have helped him with that with all the attention we are giving him.

Think y'all are overreading into it. Ive also heard hes said he is 100% committed.

Yea but the whole "as of right now" and "pretty comitted" ish is crap.

We just need to go and get Pookie

I'd love to get him and Barber

@jerrymeyer247: @david_harris22 Not so sure that Anthony Barber will be a five-star. Believe Alabama to be his leader.
@JayhawkSlant: Got word from 5 star PG Anthony Barber that Kansas, Louisville and Alabama are the schools he's going to visit. #kubball

I doubt we can get both. Powell said he wants to play for a coach that will let him run the team at the point. He wont play his first year here at the point and until Barber leaves he will be stuck with backup PG duties. If we got Powell I could see him playing 2 guard a good bit. Its more of his natural position from what I hear.

Another note on Powell is he has already indicated he is probably a late signee and already has a Tide offer so its not like we are slow playing him or anything.

Jerry Meyer's new 247 rankings dropped Anthony Barber 17 spots from 11 to 28 after a great summer. A new PG has shown up in his top 20 at 16, Roddy Peters, who on every other site has him listed out of their top 100. He had a good summer, but thats a helluva jump. I guess we see now who was effing up rivals rankings.

It would be great if we could convince Powell to play the 2 although he'd be extremely short for the position.

On offense he'd be fine, man-to-man defense would be his problem at the two. He might could be played as an offensive spark off the bench. Hes got a game similar to Lou Williams in the NBA, a 6'1 scoring guard who primarily comes off the bench for instant offense.

I will never understand this about recruiting rankings, and frankly it is a big reason that I don't pay much attention to them. Have one of the best summers of anyone in the country, get dropped 15 spots. It makes no sense. They do the same thing in football. A kid will be downgraded for a nagging injury or in spite of having a great summer at camps.

They had the same problem at rivals when he worked there. Players rose and fell way too much in between rankings, and a lot of the moves made little to no sense. From what ive heard when he scouts he looks too much for the worst in the best recruits and the best in the lower-ranked recruits. Its helped him somewhat in finding some of the 3 and low 4 stars who explode into the college scene, but also leads to some WTF moments in his rankings.
