Before that when Jerry was asked if Barber would be moving he said he'd slide down. Hard to understand that with the amazing summer hes had.

That get so high on him at camp settings but not as much during tournaments. I think they play at a slower pace during tournaments which doesn't favor Barber's type skill. I don't care what they rank him. I think he's a stud and it'd be Grant's biggest get.

I saw it mentioned on bamamag, but do y'all think there's any chance we go after UCF's PF Keith Clanton after UCF was hit with sanctions today?

This "Hale to UT" stuff smelled foul from the beginning. Ive heard hes been talking to our staff a lot and doing a little recruiting as well. Our staff also has seen a good bit of his games this summer. The rumor made no sense...not that it didn't make me a little nervous

Hale goes to the HS I graduated from. I spoke to one of his teachers recently and he said he's really excited about Bama. I saw his coach at a wedding last summer and he was telling me how much they both like Anthony Grant. They seem to have have a relationship that goes back longer than most realize.
I don't think there is anything to worry about.
Christ School also has an excellent squad that he is playing on and they play a lot of top competition. Should be good for him.

I could see us showing some interest, but I don't see an offer until after the Barber-Williams announcement.

I don't see why not. We could use him and he's a senior so not issue with future years numbers.

But it wouldn't affect them since he'll be a senior and immediately eligible. I think our staff should go after him hard. We have the scholarship to use and we are thin on the inside.

Christ School has been putting out quite a bit of big time college talent lately including the Plumlee brothers.
David Gaines is a hell of a coach, the facilities are top notch, and the education is second to none any where in the country. We will be getting a good one.

Side note: past two seasons hes shot around 35% from down town on 3+ attempts a game. Not bad for a big man.
