I think Hale will come in and play right away. He seems to me like a prospect ready to play from the get-go. Considering PF is our currently most needed position, and Hale being a perfect player for the 4 out 1 in offense we seem to be working toward, I don't even see him warming the bench his freshman year. Would be terrible to lose this kid, and would pressure us to land another top PF recruit that could fit our system, like Jarrell Martin.

Yeah, losing Hale would be a blow. Kid has been impressive during the summer.

Some European pro team I believe, but you can see the offensive improvement regardless of the leagues talent level.

He has a set time to make a decision whether to decommitt or not? Why would someone know that?

I am feeling uneasy about it though. If we end up with Hale and don't get Nichols and you guys get Martin you guys clearly will have come out ahead on this.
ETA: in the VolNation thread, the "insider" is saying Hale is announcing Tennessee.

Don't get me wrong I think Martin is the better player, but a 4 like Hale who can stroke the ball from outside could really help our stagnant offense by opening up the lanes. I personally don't think there's anything behind these rumors, but it would be huge hit for us if this ends up being true.
