Georgia’s Andrew Garcia (8.7 ppg) has hit the transfer portal, the portal told me.

That makes 6 of Tom Crean’s top 8 scorers that are leaving Athens via transfer.

The bottom of the SEC is going to be so bad next year.

Conversely the top 8-9 teams could all make the tournament. Gonna be a wild season.

UGA guard KD Johnson is now in the transfer portal, per source. Averaged 13.5 points as a freshman in 22 minutes per game. 38% 3pt shooter this year

Oats needs to be on him IMO. I would push someone out for KD

Sources: 2021 NBA Draft Combine is scheduled to take place in person June 21-27 in Chicago at Wintrust Arena and Marriott Marquis, consisting of team interview sessions, five-on-five games, shooting drills, measurements, strength/agility testing, halfcourt drills and medicals.

There was no in person 2020 Draft Combine due to coronavirus pandemic, but it is back on schedule this year. Ten team personnel members per organization are able to attend on-court portion — consistent with 2019 Combine — and six total for in-person interviews with prospects.

Wow. They're going to have < 10 scholarship players next year without sanctions.

sounds great. But unless Primo stays in the draft, there's no room. And even if you wanted to be a dick, nobody to get rid of. We're fricking stacked.

I don’t think this is wise.

2021 five-star Patrick Baldwin Jr. tells me he’s committed to play for this father at Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

On paper, Baldwin Jr is the best non-Gonzaga mid-major recruit in the history of modern recruiting.

The show in Milwaukee will be fascinating.

Chose to play for his dad over Duke.

Honestly, I don't blame him. It's the last chance he will ever have to do it and he's a 1 and done 1st round pick regardless of where he goes to school.

Agreed. He's pretty much a lottery pick lock as long as he stays healthy.

Wonder how long it will be till 247 creates an actual ranking of the transfer portal. It would need to be updated and adjusted hourly

I hope they do something with it. Even knowing that at the end of the day the rankings aren't really all that important, I would still like to know how their formula measures the additions of Noah Gurley and Nimari Burnett to our class.

Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors have either improved or regressed on their initial recruiting ratings as well. Seems like a lot of work for them, but i'd like to see something.

They would probably have to stamp a rating on every eligible player in the country though. Gurley doesn't have a rating at all for instance.

No way to sugarcoat nine Georgia basketball players entering transfer portal
quote:

From a raw numbers’ standpoint, the Bulldogs have lost 83.4% of their scoring (1,680 points), 72.5% of their rebounding (701) and 72.1% of their 3-point field goals made (119).
quote:

Again, the attrition is not unique to Georgia. Let’s compare it with the rest of the SEC:

SEC BASKETBALL ATTRITION

Team: Portal + NBA Draft = Total

Georgia: 9 + 0* = 9

LSU: 5 + 4 = 9

S.Carolina: 6 + 3* = 9

Texas A&M: 9 + 0 = 9

Miss. State: 7 + 1 = 8

Arkansas: 5 + 2 = 7

Florida: 4 + 3 = 7

Missouri: 7 + 0 = 7

Tennessee: 4 + 3 = 7

Vanderbilt: 6 + 1 = 7

Alabama: 2 + 4 = 6

Auburn: 4 + 2 = 6

Ole Miss: 5 + 1 = 6

Kentucky: 2 + 3 = 5

TOTALS: 75 + 27 = 102
