2 out single for Overstreet.
Chris Stewart said he went the other way for that hit. Did one of our hitters really do that?
Jay Shaw has been money today.

Pretty weak at-bat, again, there by White after Vincent singled. Swung at only one fastball, the one he crushed foul. Even chased a first pitch changeup. You'd think after seeing Overstreet and Vincent go the other way for hits would encourage others to try the same.

@_DCReeves: Salem waves at a third strike and KSU takes its 1-0 lead to the 9th. KSU with better at bats, better defense, more energy.

I'm gonna go throw up now. What a disgrace.

We'll play again tomorrow morning. I guess if anybody wants to kid themselves into thinking we have a shot, we'd want to play FSU tomorrow so we'd only have to beat them once. More than likely we'll play GSU and in that case I'd actually throw Bramblett and save Kamplain. Won't matter though, can't score.

Sad truth is that this team just isnt that talented. Probably overachieved much of the SEC season. There is no half arse effort once you are in a regional. Its just a matter of our guys not being very talented hitters.

Based on what I saw today, I think this team has quit and will bow out tomorrow. I obviously hope i'm wrong.

They quit a month ago, body language and emotion was the same as at has been for weeks.

Same shite, different year.

They're all very talented hitters. They just have a pisspoor approach and no plate discipline because they aren't being properly coached by Andy Phillips.

Yep. I didn't want to say anything about it, but now it's painfully obvious. Mitch Gaspard has lost this team.

Just hard to believe they didn't take this week and a half, put everything behind them, and start over. There aren't enough words to properly say how pathetic today was. There's just no leadership. The coaches can only say so much, some of the players need to step up and get people going when everybody is just walking around with blank stares on their face.
And I harped on it for weeks, but was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt today, but Gaspard has to shake up this lineup. He just keeps running the same thing, the same order out there every day and expects something to change.

I was under the impression that they did not need the rest. they needed to get on a hot streak in the SEC tourney to get some momentum going. I felt like they would suck in the opening game and looks like my premonition was correct. I still think a new hitting coach is in order and a pitching coach who was a pitcher would be nice. Move our pitching coach to hitting and fire the pitching coach and bring in someone

It's early, but Georgia Southern is currently up 2-0 over Florida State.
