Not sure why Eicholtz would be pulled, let's hope it's not injury related

Be nice to carry this offensive momentum into the weekend.

Bramblett is on to pitch the fifth, so it appears you're right in that they're just getting some guys some innings tonight. Neither Guilbeau or Eicholtz were especially sharp tonight considering the level of competition.

I hope we do as well. I will be at the Friday night game in Fayetteville.

That's awesome. That should be a great pitching matchup with Turnbull and Beeks.

Tucker Hawley on the mound tonight.

Alabama up 8-0 thru five tonight.
Meanwhile, the official Alabama Baseball Twitter account tweeted that Mike Oczypok will miss the season after having surgery on his elbow today. They didn't specify anything more than that yet.

Alabama wins it 12-0. Hawley had a great outing: 7 IP, 0 R, 3 H, 1 BB, 7 K

Any word on why Eicholtz was pulled early Tuesday?
Posted on 3/19/14 at 8:25 pm to CrimsonTusk
They were just throwing a bunch of different guys. Gulibeau came in after him and only threw two as well. I imagine Gaspard wanted everybody fresh for this weekend and knew he didn't need Eicholtz to go deep into the game given the level of competition.

I never realized how few regionals we've won.
Posted on 3/20/14 at 11:37 am to AHM21
The regional format didn't debut until 1976. There was basically an 8 team playoff and district format from 1947-1975. Alabama has essentially had two great eras. One before the CWS format in 1947. And then from 1983-2006.

I see. I remember the run of the late 90's, but I just assumed we had more regional wins than just seven. That's really not that many.

Not a big thing but I think you need to change the score on this game.

Nice catch, there's a little bit of a difference between 2 and 12 I guess

what are out expectations this weekend at Ark?
I know they've been really good but don't know anything about them this year. Thanks!

They've struggled a bit early but have a talented team. It's going to be a tall order to go into fayetville and take the series. Arkansas has probably lost more one run games than any team in the country.
We should strive for the sweep
Expect 2 wins
Not over react with one win
Worry a bit if we're swept.

I'm at the game and will give updates as I can.
Not a strong start with two early walks.
