I can’t name one that’s been good at all. JJ doesn’t develop arms. Pitchers get worse. We have not a single elite arm. Not 1.

We are currently the 11th ranked recruiting class. We have 3 top 100 players. LSU has 12. Tennessee and Texas both have 7 apiece. These three teams have 18-24 commits each. We have 13. They put up the NIL $. They have the elite talent.
You can bring in Greg and Mike Maddox if you want, and we are still going to lag far behind the top teams. We also have a lot of youth on our staff. Young guys take time to develop. Our coach is in his first year. Why don't we give him a minute to recruit a class of two before we start firing coaches?

We’re definitely blessed to have Vaughn. I have mixed feelings on Jackson but will defer to Vaughn on the matter.
LtL is right about not expecting a top pitching performance when our recruiting is materially lower than that. A good pitching coach might be able to make up a couple of spots, but we can’t expect miracles.
Either way, 40 regular season wins in this tough of a conference and with a strong non-conference SOS is very impressive. Not sure anyone should be getting fired after this year.

Overall, a very good regular season. Think we need at least 1-2 wins in Hoover given the pile up of SEC teams on the hosting bubble. I think our bullpen issues probably prevent us from reaching Omaha but do believe we can win a regional in the right circumstances. As someone mentioned earlier, hopefully these close losses turn into wins in year 3. I really like CRV and believe he’s doing a good job, but that part has to be corrected.

JJ has had a few really good pitchers over the years and couldn’t do squat with them.

Quick is absolutely a great pitcher and should obviously be starting on Fridays if our rotation was based on talent/production.
Unfortunately JJ cannot figure out how to get him through the 5th inning like virtually every other Friday night starter in the SEC does.

Vaughn decides who pitches what days I’m not a JJ defender I agree with most of you that we should move on from him but all the issues don’t fall at his feet

Never said I disagreed with how the rotation was being handled.
And I can tell Vaughn makes that decision because there actually seems to be some strategy behind it.
