People have a short memory. Just think back to that 2014 spring game. Who in the frick after watching that abomination of a game thought Alabama would make the playoff and break all sorts of records on offense?

My Take is that the 1st defensive unit looked good against the offense. They had a great advantage with the rules being what they are.
I’m a bit worried about the depth on D - which explains the second Os success (and how good the backups are on the offense).
I hope this means our D will be top 5 again.

Behind and can’t get touched in an A Day game makes you do that.
And still less effective than if he had just put the ball in the hands of his playmakers and let them work. How effective do you think it will be when everything is live?
I’ll be interested to see if this continues into the fall and what Saban and Sark do about it.

I'm really believing that this coaching staff will get much more out of the 2s than the previous staff. I expect our depth to improve, and I expect this staff to coach the younguns and put them in the damn game. Coach 'em, trust' em, play 'em.

Dude.
My gosh, it is a freakin’ A-Day game and you are already bitching about Sark? In a vanilla game when the QB can’t scramble and is down with a touch (meaning NO TIME to read the play developing) and they call you down when a safety touches you? His offense, if you want to use your logic, (he is the offensive coach who has coached both sides this spring ya know) scored 48 points total.
Geez man. After a few games next year, then bitch.
I’m gonna trust Saban on this right now. I’m extremely glad we have coaches who understand the process (and who are experienced and know how to coach) out there now.

There is a very good chance that I might have done this very thing to our kicker midway through this past season.
I didn't use black magic for this but I most definitely directed some very choice words directed at our kicker multiple times during the season.

Depth is a big concern on defense but like prevatt said I believe we’ll end up being in much better shape than last season. It’s still early in the process and we brought in same great guys.
I’m really excited about our OLB rotation, though. If T Lewis can finally get to 100% and stay there then watch out. Q Williams gave us tremendous pressure up the middle but we missed that rush off the edge. Teams started to neutralize Q and take him out of the play. We had no solution to get after the QB.
With guys like Anfernee, T Lewis, Anoma and Allen our pass rush should be a game changer for this defense.
Gotta get be able to consistently disrupt with our front 4. 2015 and 2016 defenses had such an advantage because of this. Man I miss those defenses. Defensive line as a whole will be pivotal as well...I’m still a little concerned over those guys.

Little late, but I just got done grilling steaks. Did anyone see the pictures from the A Day game dinner? Saban has his steak covered in steak sauce. I lost a little faith in his decisions after seeing it. I’d post a picture, but I can’t find it.

No man is perfect, and he ain't the only man I know with an illogical affinity for A1.

Excellent post.
Regarding the DLinne, I came away really impressed with Barmore. The guy is a dog and can play for me anytime.
But I really think that between Davis, Dale, Ray, Mathis, and Barmore with a sprinkling of Wynn, Alfano, Eboigbe, and Musika - that we can find a nice rotation of 6 guys for those 3 spots. Six guys to play SEC level ball would be cake. And don't for get that we have 3 more guys coming in in the summer - Sopsher, Young, and Ingraham.
All in all, I'd be shocked if we didn't have a solid 2-deep that we trust by October. And we may end up going about 8 guys deep like we did in years past. It wouldn't surprise me one bit. We've recruited well at the position.

I'd wager a guess the beef is pretty good, but I don't know who's seasoning it and cooking it. I like to put some flavor on my beef in the form of marinade, and I don't care if it came from Jesus himself.
Anyone who says "I just want to taste the beef" doesn't know how to cook.

And I say that in the context that I only buy grass-fed, steriod-free beef from grazing cattle, beautiful aged meat with a dark red hue - not that orange shite sold in most US supermarkets.
Nicaraguan beef is some of the best in the world (I live in Costa Rica), but I'm still gonna put some flavor on it. Granted, sometimes seasalt, or better yet that black volcanic salt from Hawaii, is all you need for a delicious steak, but I still prefer a liquid marinade all day.

Those steaks they serve are cooked to hell cheap ribeyes. Same ones I used to burn two dining hall swipes at Bryant hall to eat

Yep. Taste fine but its not like we are talking even a mediocre steak here.

He's a troll and I don't understand why he hasn't been banned yet. He screws up every game thread we have.
