But Stevenson only managed 1 REB today.

Because he was guarding perimeter guys and shooting from the corner on offense.

That’s why we play these game early. Get humbled and get better.

Stevenson played perimeter defense, and made a defensive mistake at the end of the first half, and Purdue made a three-point shot.

I just can’t get over us having all the momentum up 65-59 and Nate let’s a 13-0 run happen before he calls a timeout.

I’m his biggest fan but that’s pitiful. At Home or Neutral site I can understand letting it play out but on the road in a hostile environment call a fricking Timeout. Cost us the game

All he has to do is be perfect, right?

Nate has never been quick with a timeout and with as fast as we play, runs get exacerbated. Pretty frustrating.

No, he didn’t. He jumped because the clock was running down. If he didn’t jump and the guy shoots over him, we would have been mad that he didn’t anticipate the guy shooting with the clock running down. It was just a good play by a good player on a team that shot lights out and took care of the ball tonight. We beat them on a neutral floor in March.

I agree. It’s probably the one weakness in his Coaching. He says he like to try and get to the media TO in those situations but on the road you gotta call a TO

Here is my breakdown of the rest of the Non-Conf schedule:

Illinois-Must win, no ifs, ands, or buts

Find a way to go 2-1 in Vegas.

Split UNC/Creighton

Win the 3 cupcakes to finish NC play.

Would put us at 10-3 entering SEC play and in a good spot

You give Philon fifteen shots when he's hot but you let him assist when he's not being consistent scoring.

Right before Purdue went on that run Philon kicked the ball out to a wide open Stevenson...BRICK!

WE COULD'VE EXTENDED THE LEAD EVEN MORE!

Joka, Stevenson has gotta be benched. At some point you gotta do what’s best for the team even if that has to hurt a kids feelings.

Just listened to post game, and Oats didn’t even realize it was a 13-0 run. He asked if the TO was in the middle of it and then said he was going to have to go look at the tape. He messed up, and I think he found out at the press conference. Not sure why his instincts aren’t better about TO use

Why can't Alabama have good things in basketball?

Didn't Auburn just win on the road against a top 5 team?

Alabama isn't even looking like a top 3 SEC team.

Philons passing is unreal. Put him at the 1 and let Mark be the 2. Trelly at the 3.

Starting Lineup:

Philon
Sears
Trelly
Nelson
Cliff.

And then when Youngblood gets back put him at the 3 and Sears and Trelly at the 1/2 and then slide Philon into the JQ role as the spark plug off the bench/6th man.

They better get their shite together quickly. The schedule coming up is ruthless. Oatis has bitten off more than he can chew it appears.

This happens every year. Last year we lost to Purdue, Creighton, and Arizona and “the sky was falling”. It’s called playing tough competition and getting ready for March. Nate loves it!
