Well I guess that explains why Stevenson is playing over better shooters.

I don't know rather to be real happy about the dedication and persistence during that sequence, or be mildly disappointed in the fact our best player shot 1 out of 3 from wide open 3 point attempts

I remember when all of us would have been thrilled with a program good enough to make the tournament 2 of every 3 years and go on the occasional run.

Now we have one of the best programs in the whole goddamn country, the best coach we've ever had, and people just want to complain. Make it make sense.

i just watched the game, A&M can really ugly up a game. It took over 1 hour to play the last 10 mins.

Well, because we know that this team has the capability of potentially winning it all. We want to maximize the potential that the team has. But I think that Oats knows this as well.

I also want to give a shout out to Coach Oats for not getting a T last night. I think he knew what kind of game it was going to be and that he just had to maintain his strategy throughout. Sounds elementary, however, I saw MULTIPLE opportunities where he could have lost his mind, gotten a T, and potentially thrown off the edge his team had throughout the night.

Yeah sometimes I have to backup a little bit and remember where we were just 6 years ago. Really puts this incredible run in perspective. With that being said, I’ve already booked rooms in San Antonio and plan to do that each year until Oats is no longer here

Right but remember later when he tossed up two bricks from the FT line.

Negative. I was around for Wimp so just making the tourney every few years was a really low bar.

I don't have any issues with people critically discussing the team as long as it's reasonable, thoughtful criticism. I just don't understand people acting almost...disappointed about a game like last night. There's absolutely no such thing as an ugly win, a struggle win, etc. on the road in conference play. Especially this season. Even bad teams like USCjr and LSU aren't easy road Ws. Oats is the only coach we've had since Wimp who walks out of that arena last night with a W. Everyone should be thrilled.

With all the talk about Oats choices in playing time, Jarin's warzone rebound and pass out to Sears in that 3x 3 point shot sequence is probably Oats' "Play of the Game" in watching the replay.

I don't love the way Barnes, Buzz, Sampson etc turn games to "joyous murderball" but it's pretty exciting to have a team that doesn't back down an inch in that setting and wins at that game too.

Buzz Williams is not quite the same as Rick Barnes because I think his offensive fundamentals are stronger. He does have a history with hard nose slashers at guard going all the way back to Dwyane Wade at Marquette.

However their perspective on the game is similar in that they want a game with no flow to it. Buzz at least desires to see the numbers go up on the scoreboard though.

Say it loud for the people in the back. Every road win is a good win in this conference.
