No, we need him healthy next month

Who do we have on the roster that will be out of eligibility after this season? Just curious.

Just like the Awbarn game we gave up 9 points to start and lost by 9; today gave up 12 lost by 12.
I would be fine with just starting Mo at the 5. Having a spark plug off the bench is great, but Cliff is just awful right now defending. Mo is undersized, but he rebounds and he is our best post scorer by a mile. I'm just spent on Cliff.

What kills me is...we have guys just sitting in the corner (Jarin & another big) with Aden driving up the court full speed...why not screen for him on both sides?
Like get him going! He had a great rhythm going early but we went away from it.

They hit everything, but the bottom line is this team just will not take care of the ball

No, Latrell Wrightsell Jr...our RUN STOPPER & RUN STARTER!
AND CAN WE PLEASE GET RID OF BRIAN ADAMS.

Nelson’s performance the last two games is unacceptable. He’s got to step up for this team.

Even Aden Holloway had some careless turnovers but I would start him at point.
He needs 28 plus minutes!

Thoughts:
For Oats:
- Why the hell don't we start pressing earlier when we are down? We ALWAYS make a push when we do, but we wait too late to do it. I understand the analytics don't like pressing in general, but it's a no-brainer to use it down double digits before just 2 minutes to go. Hell, I'd even use it sporadically to bring some defensive intensity when we are lacking focus on that end.
- Waiting until a guy scores 25 on incredible efficiency to send a double is a little late.
For the players:
- Need a vocal leader on this end of the court. Communication tonight was total shite and allowed an ungodly amount of wide open lanes. Total embarrassment.
For the fans:
- Don't be an idiot. Season isn't over. The team isn't trash. Bad games happen to every team. Disappointing loss, but this is still a top 5 level team even with the injuries.

Defensively, our frontcourt is the biggest problem. Guards popping 3s off screens because Sears is too lazy or Holloway too weak to fight through costs us some, but consistently letting guys like Mitchell, Dia, and Broome single-handedly outscore our entire front line and shoot like 80% doing it is why we won’t go far in March.

Grant should be last on the list

Agreed, Considering our interior size and experience inside, our paint defense is inexplicably bad

Gonna disagree here. This is a top 15, maybe top 10.
They just don’t guard anyone. A turnover, especially a steal, is a surprise.

Some of the stuff we do or don't do sometimes is baffling. Our lack of defensive adjustments for one. We only seem to try to change the five on the court to see if it improves. Our help side defensive positioning is just bad most of the time. Oats wants to extend in man defense to push pace but we end up opening the lane for the drive or post up. Mizz just went right at us, and their length killed us along with the return of Larry Bird making everything.
Hope we figure out something. Is Mallette actually hurt or did they just want to try to save his redshirt with "injury"? We have some serious issues inside. Clifford is not helpful, Grant is regressing, Sherrell is too slow right now, Mo isn't big enough to play the 5 and Jarin isn't strong enough for it.

Oats teams always seem to struggle down the stretch.. then get it together in the SEC Tournament.
Of course playing 6 straight Top 20 teams doesn’t help.
We’re ok.. the SEC is just stupid good.

Going to come across as a hot take, but Mo being one on this list is an opinion based on defensive reputation. Was out of position a good bit defensively tonight. Not a hustle problem and that shows on the boards, but he was a step late on rotations and continued to play Mitchell like he was right-handed despite Mitchell continuing to abuse him going left. Nate actually directed his anger towards Mo twice tonight for defensive miscues, something I'm not sure I've seen before.

I’d start:
Holloway
Sears
Philon
Grant
Mo
Stephenson is my 6th
Youngblood (is vanished lately) next
Cliff is too slow
Sherrill too young
We need Reid to get healthy.. he’s a matchup nightmare and a good defender

Worst defensive performance of the year included, we're 46th in the country on defense. A combination of playing the #1 offensive SOS in the country while having the #1 Tempo in the country (both by significant margins), just makes our defense look way worse than it is as a whole.
We lost to the 15th ranked team on the road, spotting them 12 points off the rip and 20 points before the half, and they had two of their best players have career nights including them hitting several tough contested shots in the 2nd half and we still cut it to 6 late. Playing our worst defensive ball (without our second best defensive player) and them playing their best offensive ball of the season, we still had a chance late against the #15 team (soon top 10) on the road. The loss is fresh, but try and take some deep breaths.
