Defense fell asleep a ton but hey it's hard to win on the road. Hubbard had a phenomenal game so I just tip my cap to him because he kept Mississippi State in the game all night.
When one player has a Curry-like gravity sucking in the whole defense, it makes it almost impossible to play good D. A lot of Hubbard's shots were technically well-defended, he was just hitting literally everything. Makes what he did even crazier.

We, as a fan base, may need to temper our expectations of this team in the tournament due to the ft shooting. We all see it. It is goibg to bite us in the arse if it doesn't improve.
How are you missing all the turnovers

Couldn't see that well but it seemed like Cliff blocked that last Miss St layup?

He got a piece for sure. Massive play.

Any win on the road in the SEC is big. Win this next one at home and then use the bye to get healthy for the end of season gauntlet.
Wish we were playing someone tougher off the bye than Arkansas at home, but we need the rest.

It really isn't, Hubbard just blacked out and when he woke up he had 700 points.
This is recurring theme though - Bama cant defend star players. Hubbard has not looked half that good all season. Same thing happened in North Dakota. Has that kid scored 41 again? MSU had too many easy buckets in paint and wide open easy scores. They made us work a lot more for points. Not good defense at all.

Maybe I got on crimson glasses but I felt like they mugged us in the lane all night

Seriously the guy can’t rebound, dribble, shoot, defend, block shots. What benefit is he on the court. He seems like a great kid but man it’s pathetic what he brings to the table. Not only that I feel Oats wants him to be a small forward and it’s just not in him. That’s why we start slow because he makes the rotation awkward.

Well, it was a gutty road win so I didn't want to be too down about too many things...lol...turnovers are a concern as well

We just had a great road win, are 18-3, and a top team by any team metric. I’m not tempering shite

Same could be said for Youngblodd yet we were not getting many easy looks at the basket. Bama did not play good defense at all and was lucky that shots were going down from outside.

Bruh put Wrightsell and Mallette ahead of Jarin...
WTF LOL.
I'M DEAD!

Sears had the majority in the second half that enabled them to go on that run. Are turnovers by player an available stat? I feel like he has to have the most for 'Bama this year, usually from driving into 4 guys in the lane with no plan.

Before tonight, Bama as a team was at 70.9%. That includes 85% from Wrightsell, so of the 10 players playing minutes, it's lower than that 70.9%. They shot 55%(11-20) tonight. Those numbers don't support, "sometimes they just don't fall". You keep yours up. I expect Elite 8, but without improvement on fts, and taking care of ball, not real sure past that

Since when does a Nate Oats coached 'Bama team rely on luck for their 3 pointers?

Have you lost your mind?
Youngblood is like a 40% three point shooter...he was wide open half of the time he shot the ball.
So come again...

It's like 80% of this board is determined not to enjoy this win and focus on all of the things 'Bama did wrong.

Before tonight, Sears averaged 2.3 tos a game
