Important to keep some perspective. 28 wins and an elite eight is a historically great season for our program. That being said, I agree with other posters that we need to get bigger and stop relying on small guards to be our best players. Duke’s size overwhelmed us tonight. I have no doubt CNO understands this as well.

More bad defense by Sears.

It'd be nice to get some taller guards.

I don’t really have a problem with them. They just beat us. They haven’t really made an arse of themselves.

I do find these private schools having a ton of sidewalk fans strange.

He’s a high-risk, high-reward player and if you’re going to have him on the court, you willingly accept that.

Philon getting injured mid-season limited our ability to handle this moment. Eventually we were going to run into athletic length at guard and Sears was going to hit his wall where he can't get a decent shot off and gets ate up on defense. Philon wasn't ready for the staff to just say "time to let him go win or lose this for us" when this moment happened where Sears' hard wall on his own ability is hit.

Thanks to Sears. He's one of the greats in school history. Hoping Philon considers coming back to Tuscaloosa for one more season.

I know a lot of people from North Carolina and none of them are duke fans. Most of them can’t stand duke.

Philon is the only NBA prospect on this roster at the moment. He’s also the leading scorer tonight bro.

Sherrell was better. And I bet the plus minus will show it

And like I said earlier, they have more ways to beat you than we do. Which gives them a bigger margin for error should one method not be working.

Yeah Philon is a prospect, but he's not ready for big-time cbb at this point.

Also negative. The best pro prospect is Reid and it’s really not close

I mean I don’t either. It’s just a common thing for fans of a blue blood school (yes including some Bama fans for football). But that’s expected so it’s whatever

Now if Tennessee or Auburn wins one this year, they will never shut the frick up about it and will start acting like a Duke even though they are not

Nate’s gotta get size. Otherwise same shite will keep happening against elite defensive teams

Agreed. DeBoer and his staff understand this as well in their recruitment of wide receivers and defensive backs, too. We’ve gotten a lot bigger at cornerback with the way we recruit. DeBoer also mentioned getting bigger at receiver.

Man that was brutal.

Demoralizing beating start to finish.

But I'm happy with the direction of the program. Back to back elite 8s. Just have to make some minor adjustments give it another shot.
Wasn't long ago I was just happy to make the tournament.
