What makes us a 1 seed? We would have to win the SECt to be a one at this point IMO

What makes Houston a 1 seed?

Sears continues to make the case for greatest Bama player ever.

Great win, but the first page of this thread is awful. Feels like only a few on here gave their own team a chance in this one.

It’s because we have too many casual basketball fans who were FOGs but now watch because we’re a top level team and they can’t handle the natural highs/lows of a basketball season

Sounds accurate. Watching Auburn laze their way through the last month, I felt more confident about today than I did the UF game, especially with the way 'Bama started playing defense against UT.

Feels like the top 5 are all tied for first with the amount of effort they gave at different points in the game. Spotlight on Sherrell for me given his age and holding his own against Broome.

Nah, it’s because we were an 8 point underdog in a game that we weren’t sure how much our team cared about on the road in a gym where Pearl had beaten around 90% of the top 25 teams he’s faced with his best team of his career, all while our head coach didn’t sound like he overly cared about the game and was almost downplaying it a bit.

We have some FOGs, but a lot of us have been watching or even attending Bama basketball for 2 decades or more

His one handed rebound and put back was the play of the game outside of sears last shot

While true, we have to many fans who relish in saying "we are going to lose by 20" or "we will be lucky to get out of the first weekend". After a while the whole Debbie downer bs wears thin. I'm all for having critiques and opinions, but predicting how badly we will lose just sucks

What are the SEC tiebreakers for all the teams finished at 10-8?

ETA: looks like UK will be the 6 seed if florida wins

Nothing Alabama has done over the last month suggested Alabama was going to get great games from the supporting cast and let Sears be a decoy until a buzzer beater. The trend has been for Alabama either to start the game in the ditch and never quite be able to dig out of the hole or drive themselves into the ditch late to lose. They went on the road and won a game that could have went either way. They physically matched a physical team.

I’ve been out front saying this team looks more like a “gets to the second weekend” type team not “gets to the final four” type team. However, today was a great win where a lot of things we needed to see for a deep tourney happened: Philon had a great game, front court did not get punked, and the offense was not stagnant with a lot of ball and player movement.

Yes except basketball is a game of momentum. We should’ve won the UT game. It’s not like we’ve been playing shitty and we have talent so to think AU was going to walk over us was silly.

Bama looks better down the stretch this year than the last and they made the final four last year.

Cannot deny that and I thought that team was a risk to be 1 and done in the NCAAT. Y’all should just let me poor mouth them relentlessly.

It’s all about when you get hot. If we can ride this wave we can do something.

Also Cliff single handily kept us in the game in the paint. He was unstoppable.

Hell of a game. Feels like a game that can spring board both teams honestly.
