After watching Penix vs Michigan…all Milroe haters need to STFU

Milroe performed better against Michigan than Penix did. Milroe got better each week all year and just faced an all time great defense.

Y'all really getting chippy because Penix threw for 200 yards without a rungame, but you're wildly missing the context of what throws they were making to get to their respective stat lines

Because Jalen going 17 touchdowns to 1 interception did so well for our offense in 2017, right?
I would much rather have our QB throw downfield and move the chains at the risk of interceptions than cede punts because he won't throw at all

Penix was 27 of 51 with 1 td and 2 ints. He is a great qb but lets not pretend like he played good tonight.

Penix was 255 of their 299 yards. He missed some open throws, but he also moved the chains time after time because of his arm and made throws to every part of the field to move the chains

Milroe was 16 of 23 Penix was 27 of 51. Of course the guy with 51 attempts is gonna have more yards. Penix probably lost a lot of money tonight, he looked flat out bad.

Washington had no running game. Their running back was out there on one leg basically. Alabama could’ve run the ball with Haynes but got away from it or Seth snapped it poorly.

Milroe had nearly three less yards per completion than Penix with his RB's averaging 7.0 YPC to 2.0 YPC, and it wasn't because Penix was pulling a Bo Nix and chasing YAC

I don't think Milroe improved at all after LSU...but yeah, maybe Penix sucking shows just how good UM's D was. I just wish Milroe would show more recognition...hit the check downs...be proficient with intermediate passes and everything not being either a sack, scramble, handoff or deep chunk of a 50/50 ball.

Penix genuinely threw trash throw after throw. I really don't get why y'all want to act like Milroe is complete trash. He had a bad game against a clearly elite defense. It's okay in the same sentence to say he still was pretty good for a first year starter
