The SEC exist to help its teams. The game only stands to hurt its teams chances in the playoffs. Important players for either team could get hurt. The SECCG means little in comparison to winning the national title. The SEC beating the hell out of each other only to lose in the playoffs is the Big10's dream come true.

He could get hurt in any game. What if he gets hurt playing against Chattanooga? A game BAMA could manage without him.
It's silly to think about it this way. I want to win the SEC and roll into the playoffs. Confident. Not scared to play a game because somebody might get hurt.

I can see my point is going over your head.....You remind me of the RB with the goal to get to the end zone. He has a clean shot to score, but he sees a LB and tries running over the LB instead of scoring, just to prove he can. He loses sight of the goal.

I get that but the SEC is different than other conferences due to the strength. The loser is not going to drop out of the 12 team playoff. We could've lost to UGA by 40 last year and we still would've made it.

Losing it is not going to hurt anyone. A top 2 team in the SEC is always in. The cumulative wear and tear of an extra game in this era of no depth is detrimental for sure though.
