Line opens at -3.5.

I had it at -1.5 and Bryant had it at -4.5 so he wins the ‘capper of the day award.

Anyone want 4 to the game tonight (no cost, just honor system to not sell)? My family can’t make it.

He had the correct line and I had what it should’ve been

Oats is doing an AMA on the Yea member message board.

I probably am limited in the amount of questions I can ask. Anyone have any compelling ideas for a question? I have a few but I’m open to ideas.

Ask him why we dont press screens with Sherrell like we do with Williamson? It got us to the Final Four when we had Pringle doing it. But we solely rely on drop coverage, and let guy get tons of free space in the middle of the floor.

I think I probably can guess why on that. Sherell is such a good shot blocker that they seem to want to keep him at the basket. Noah doesn’t really offer that so it’s better for him to blitz the screen instead of sitting in the paint and getting put on a poster.

I do think they could incorporate it a bit more with Aiden though. Keep the ball handler guessing.

I guess my point is, beyond Sherrell. TBB could run that defense really well.

I guess my second point is, I just hate drop coverage, we give up so many short 2s.

edit: I was typing too fast.

I don’t disagree with you. Long/mid 2s are the worst shot in basketball but only if they’re contested slightly.

I think most would think Arkansas shot well from midrange. By my count they shot 23 of them and hit 10. That's definitely better than average at 43% but it still equates to shooting 28% from 3 (an indisputable poor shooting night by any measure). This efficiency is dulled even further when considering the horrible FT rate that comes from taking those shots. It can sometimes be frustrating when we allow an open midrange shot and they hit it, but even with a top NBA level guard prospect who is known best for his shooting having arguably the best single game in CBB this season, Arkansas as a team still proved that midrange shots aren't efficient.

I agree with that as well. That’s the shot we want them to take but I still want some semblance of a challenge lol

im fine with 2s over 10 feet. But we retreat in drop and give up too many 5-8 footers to good guards.

This is a very easy answer. Sherrell gets called for fouls in those situations, and you saw how bad we were with him out of the game against a bad LSU team. Sherrell doesn’t have the lateral quickness to not foul guards when doubling on a screen.

Charles officially appeals to Alabama Supreme Court. Not sure what took so long. Or if it’s been in motion and was just announced.

Not a lot of time to get the decision in. Let’s hope they fast track it.

Sure would be a shame if I had to not select "Incumbent" for the next cycle of ALSC seat elections.

NCAA gonna make us a play in game 16 seed

I’m fine with it. frick em. We conceivably COULD win with Charles. I think our ceiling is significantly lower without him.

With the way Sherrell has been playing and how the smaller lineup has worked with Jemison, really wish they would just let this go. With the way the AL Supreme Court moves, doubt it’s heard before the end of the season anyway
