That was a great win fellas.
Another great pitching performance.
Dansby/Soler coming through in the clutch.
1 more win!

I don't think it's set in yet the position we are.

The previous years playoff experience has paid it's due. Seem alike this year they go it together and we should get acuna/soroka back.

Gotta sign Freeman, Rosario, and another starting pitcher.

Perhaps Ozuna won't go to prison.

My wish is we sign power hitting Soler.
He'd be our DH.
Seems like a great guy.
Not the type to get arrested for slapping women around.

We won’t resign Soler. We will probably resign Rosario. Ozuna will be back and be DH

That seems extremely unlikely imo. Think even if he is cleared we are eating that money

Gritty performance. One of the best defensive ones I can recall, multiple clutch situations. It looked, early, like hot Astros bats were going to make it ugly. But. Pitching and D tightened up.

Reilly's diving catch at third and Rosario's play at the wall were epic.

Add in back to back HRs for the first lead change in the series off of a bad arse postseason ASTRO reliever and starting a minor league call-up...great game

I don't know if my heart can handle another nailbiter. It'd be really cool if we could just go ahead and score like 17 runs tonight.

Wright seemed extremely confident, striking out the side in the 9th last Wednesday.
I was looking forward, hoping he may get a start in the series.
Though not starting yesterday, he continued the impressive roll he's on.
I too would like to see the Braves jump big on the Astros tonight.
Really don't wanna see the series go back to their house.

I find myself still wondering why, how, what could have possessed snit to start a minor league pitcher with 4 mlb innings under his belt in a world series game ?

Anybody ? I mean, we are all euphoric at the moment because this is a destiny team so of course it all worked out, but that first inning was not supposed to go that way. The astros should have scored 4-5 runs in that inning if not for pure divine intervention. Destiny team.

Ozuna will never wear a Braves uniform again, even if he is cleared.

You're underestimating how much of an impact going from assuming we'd get 5-7 strong innings from Charlie in game 5 to back to back bullpen games has. Someone was always going to have to unexpectedly step up in a big way for us to overcome that. Last night Wright was that dude, against all odds. I can't blame Snit for rolling the dice with a 2-1 series lead at home though. Not under the current circumstances. If they knew they had Charlie going tonight Minter would have opened last night.

Yes he will. We wont be able to move his toxic arse, and once he finishes his "dont be a cancer on society" program the charges against him will be reduced or dropped entirely. (nice to be rich and famous, eh ?)

He'll be back with the Braves in spring training.

We need Acuna to grow up and learn how to be the leader in the clubhouse. We also need Acuna to learn to speak English. The dugout needs to be less divided due to language barrier, but the most talented guy on the team definitely needs to be able to communicate with everybody if he's gonna be the alpha.

Yeah, but Wright didn't start the game... that would have made sense. He has MLB and post season experience. Wright had to perform a small miracle to put the fire out that the minor league pitcher who actually started the game started. Why would that nobody minor leaguer start the game ? I promise you if it had blown up the way it should have everyone in the nation would be asking the same question.

No it wouldn't have. Wright isn't a three times through kind of pitcher. He needs an opener.

OK? And the answer would still be the same. We unexpectedly found ourselves without a starting pitcher 3 innings into the series. We are short handed. That means some guys you'd rather not have to put into a game are going to have to pitch some big innings.

Does anyone want to create a game thread for tonight that we can sticky?

Or would that be bad juju?
