Maybe he thinks Bama doesn't have room.

had wondered briefly if he might be related to former UT TE Ethan Wolf before realizing they do not even share the same last name.

McKinnley Jackson buzz coming out of official: I'll have more later today but I really like A&M's position right now. Another terrific visit, I've talked to a couple people that like the Aggies here. I continue to believe TAMU or Alabama, I'd lean towards College Station right now unless something changes over the next two days. -- Wiltfong (on Gigem247)

4-STAR DT MCKINNLEY JACKSON

THE PICK: Texas A&M

I like the Aggies right now but reserve the right to change my mind over the next 48 hours as they battle Alabama down the stretch. Auburn and LSU round out the final four for Jackson who returned to College Station for his official visit this past weekend. Jackson has been feeling Texas A&M for quite some time, and has a terrific relationship with defensive line coach Elijah Robinson. I think unless something changes, Jackson will pick the Aggies.

Regarding McKinnley, I do like TAMU right now, but want to see how today goes before making a Crystal Ball. And another thing regarding Alabama, when they're a finalist, even if I feel good about the other program, it's tough to just Crystal Ball it knowing the prowess the Tide has on the trail and how they close. -- Wiltfong (BOL post)

LINK ]Alabama DB target feels great vibes at Junior Day (BamaOnLine | segments)
quote:

Alabama hosted four-star safety LINK ]Terrion Arnold this weekend for the Tallahassee (FL) John Paul II product’s second visit back to the Capstone. “Great atmosphere, great vibes, I loved it,” Arnold told BamaOnLine.

This time around, Arnold got to know more of the UA staff. “Last time when I went on the visit I was just hanging out with Coach (Charles) Kelly. This time I was hanging out with Coach Scott and Coach Sal. I also spent time with the offensive coordinator and then Bryce Young, the No. 1 quarterback in the class. It was great.”

Recruited mainly as a DB, Arnold says Alabama likes his versatility. “They’re looking to use me in multiple ways, even in the return game, just all over,” he said. “But mainly like Coach Karl said, focusing on safety and corner, almost how Coach Kelly played Jalen Ramsey at Florida State because I can do more than one thing.

"Like Coach Saban says, he’s hands on with the DBs. It’s an honor for him to recruit me as a DB. They don’t tell any lies or anything, not promising that I’ll play as a freshman, that I’ll have to earn it. They said I definitely have the capability to come in and play as a freshman. But I’ll definitely be back for camp and stuff like that.”

Arnold has an offer list approaching three dozen, including many SEC programs. Where does the Tide stand in the thick of it? “Everybody is still neutral to me and I’m still enjoying the process, but this visit definitely opened my eyes even more,” he said. “I’ll be back right after the Dead Period is over with.”

Jackson to A&M would be... really strange. Haven't heard a thing from the weekend yet. Just using common sense. Following the visits, the relationships with assistants, proximity to home, etc. 9 times out of 10 (when skullduggery isn't at play), this will lead you to the destination.

If it's not clear what I'm referring to in the paragraph above, I'm saying that I'd be surprised if he didn't ultimately pick Bama. We make the most sense by far.

Wiltfong isn't confident enough to put in a CB. I won't take it seriously until that happens.

This. Wiltfong does this all the time. Makes dramatic statements, but doesn't actually change his pick. I think it's all for effect. It's like playing defense in basketball. Don't watch the ball (dramatic recruiting articles)...watch the man's chest (his crystal ball prediction).

It looks like Billy Embody put a pick in for Alabama this morning though. I think he had one for LSU previously and switched it.

Edit: just saw surge say Embody went cloudy, not Alabama.

Drake Maye, 4-star QB, Cornelius (N.C.) Myers Park — Alabama commit

Maye wasn’t at Alabama this weekend as he juggles a busy basketball and 7on7 schedule, but he plans to get back to campus in March. The Tide pledge remains a firm commit and is currently not communicating with any other college coaches. -- Hank

I’m interested to see how this signing day goes from a coverage/publicity stand point. I haven’t been able to find an ESPN press release on what their coverage will be. There are only 10 ESPN 300 players uncommitted and about 30 or so committed but “unsigned”.

UGA has a bunch of guys scheduled to commit that are already committed. I suspect a bunch of them will make it to TV so they represent a big signing day. If there is one thing I will give Kirby credit for is that he knows how to win a press conference if nothing else.
