We’re in a great position guys. I value a shite-ton of 4-stars over a handful of 5-stars and that’s what we got. And with the juniors we have trending towards staying we're in a position to keep this thing rolling.

You may be right but we thought the same thing about Alfano and you see how that worked out.

I’m really excited about this class.. we needed a ILB and we got him!!! We will need some more depth at RB as I expect Najee to leave and don’t blame him. I figured that’s why Saban grabbed 3 RB’s. We needed another Tua and we got that.. we can fill TE and such later. We have the foundation built again. I’m not worried about WR with Bryce that will fall into place next season. We are solid and finally have some depth back again.

So no shot at flipping McClellan now.

I like this class A LOT too!

Also, I think Washington might've committed to Bama, maybe even faxed his signed NLI, which could be why JJ's green light got turned off this morning. The sequence of events is interesting. Stroud picks OSU over UGA, then Bryce signs with UA. Less than an hour later, Darnell tweets paper and pen emojis. And at Saban's presser this afternoon, he mentioned having signings that'd remain secret until the players announce. He could've been talking about McClellan and Holden, but maybe Washington, since Holden was already a commit expected to sign with UA.

I'll remind you Julio looked that way as well until he ran a 4.39 at the combine. Everyone knew he was fast but but not that fast. Those long talk guys just don't look like the smaller dude's when they are moving.

Idk how the hell you finish last in the pac 12 in recruiting when your usc!!! I mean you could not even recruit and finish top 25 that’s how insane that is to me

There is no excuse for USC to finish that poorly. That is easily one of the best recruiting positions in college football.

I guess that puts to rest the belief that a school can “recruit itself”

I wouldn't say that. USC is still a program that even a bad coach can successfully recruit to if he is just allowed to do his job. Their administration hung Helton out to dry all season by doing absolutely nothing to reaffirm his job security. There were even conflicting reports of his termination hanging out there for hours a few weeks ago before they finally confirmed that he would be back. Recruits aren't going to be beating down your door if they believe you're going to be fired.

The administration probably loved that their recruiting sucked just to screw over Helton.

For the ones who are fretting over a TE, and WRs, next year will be stellar. For this yr our WR room will be nasty good.

Amazing class. Our LBS are so damn fast, think of mosely and evans. They all are going to at least play ST.

We got men people. There is no play in them. I will always love the 2017 class, but they had a lot of play in them. By play, I mean joking, laughing. Not knocking it, and they should, but this class ain't about that.

Robot Santa is right. It’s not Helton’s fault in this instance. He had a decent class going, including Bryce Young. Then the rumors started swirling that he would not be retained. And the administration let the rumors linger and did nothing to support him, not even the dreaded vote of confidence. So recruits started de committing. And now they are left with a class worthy of a middling G5 school, not a P5 former blue blood. I get the feeling it was deliberate; someone in the SC administration doesn’t like Helton and is trying to sabotage his tenure. Otherwise, it is the most incompetent handling of that situation you can imagine.

Football is dead on the left coast. They just haven't had the burial.
