"It's a huge honor and I'm extremely thankful to the selection committee," Gentry told 247Sports. "One of the reasons I committed is because it's another chance to compete. It's another chance to go against some of the best players in the nation and finishing out my last high school game in Hawaii isn't bad, either. I'm excited for the chance to compete before college and get a little taste of what it will be like at the next level."
The 6-foot-8, 310-pound Gentry is impressively agile for his size, finishes blocks well and repeatedly reaches the second level to open running lanes, making him one of the most coveted line prospects in the nation. Gentry has surpassed 30 scholarship offers and has his first official visit locked in with Notre Dame for the April 5 weekend and is rounding out other potential trips.
"I'll get out to Notre Dame and then hopefully make it to Alabama the following week, but I'm not sure yet if that's an official or unofficial," Gentry said. "I'm looking forward to checking out the spring game there. Virginia is also another visit possibility at the end of April. I'll be trying to get to BYU for their spring game to watch my brother, JT, and get to know coach Eric Matteos a bit more. Oregon has also been recruiting me very hard."
Gentry is the No. 7-rated offensive tackle and No. 57 overall prospect in the nation and No. 1 overall prospect in the state of Colorado for the 2020 class per the 247Sports Composite rankings.
The Polynesian Bowl is a premier high school football all-star game that features 100 of the top players in the nation and is held annually during the Polynesian Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Week in Hawaii. Past NFL Ambassadors for the week-long event include Marcus Mariota, JuJu Smith-Schuster, Michael Bennett, Ronnie Stanley, Danny Shelton and DeForest Buckner.

Ruggs is a TD machine and a good blocker too. One of my favorite players.

I wish he could play basketball at Alabama, too. He could help with the lack of speed and quickness on that team. He is a good basketball player--or he was in high school.

Ruggs is easily the most athletic of the 3 Juniors, and that's not slight to JJ or Smith.
He's so explosive, he's a guy who will run a sub 4.3 and jump 40+.

Trying to remember the recruiting talking head, but he said you should go back an look at Ruggs high school basketball high lights. They are much more impressive than his football high lights.

Bama played the game to get him, shows how highly they coveted him.
Kevontae' Ruggs was never gonna play at Bama, but they offered him close to Henry's NSD to seal it up between Bama and FSU.
