I've got that site opened. I also have the rolltide.com site opened. And twitter and facebook, etc.
I just miss the recruiting cam and the lists of who's in, signed and received.

I used to pay for a BOL account but a couple of the moderators were about as bad as Tidefans so I opted out.
IMO TiderInsider is the best Alabama sports pay site and if Rodney Orr gives some info you can pretty much count on it.
Fact is, these days you can get about any info a few hours, at most,after the initial reports.

I miss the days when we were flipping guys, and getting 5-star commits on NSD. It's been pretty boring the last few years, honestly. It's like we just hope to hold on to who we have and maybe grab 1 guy out there. Meh. Whatever, still a great class, just not exciting anymore.

If you did not follow recruiting all year then just show up to watch who signs then learn about them - it would make what is happening today more exciting.

Bama has filled their need at LB in this class.
Not so much for WR or TE.
Washington can save the TE class for Bama. Looks like WR recruiting was a swing and a big miss.

It seems like the position or two that is of the greatest need the last few cycles has had misses. 2017 DL (Solomon), 2019 LB (To'o To'o and Dean), 2020 WR (Jarrett, Burton, Arian Smith)

I know right. They hang on his every word and it is always vague or “he was ours until....” “the staff cooled on him”, “ he wanted LSU but the mother wanted X”. Bullshite every time

I remember when he was a lock to sign with Bama, then Bama passed on him.
If he isn't good enough to star at OU, Bama doesn't need him.

It feels like there were basically 2 game changing tight end prospects (and maybe just 1 as Washington isn't quite in the same class as Gilbert, IMHO). We went after both and we didn't get either. Outside of that, I'm not sure the rest are that huge a deal long term. We have bodies, some that have upside (Billingsley) and others that are functional for the next few years (Tennison, Latu).
Would have been great to grab 1 or 2 elite receivers, but that is another position where unless you have an immediate problem you can fix the next year. I don't think we are in immediate problem spot. Now, if we whiff next year? That's a problem.

Kids commit way earlier now. Very few guys go into NSD uncommitted anymore.
