Take into account our misses at LBers and this is what we have. We damn sure need a strong class.. and we have to have a MLB. That’s the general of Saban’s D

2017

(MLB) Dylan Moses- Great, but hurt
OLB) VanDarius Cowan- Kicked off team
(OLB) Jarez Parks- Greyshirt; still never plays
(MLB) Markail Benton- Huge bust
(OLB) Chris Allen- Hurt sometimes; huge bust

2018

(OLB) Eyabi Anoma- Left the team
(MLB) Ale Kaho- Still can’t beat out our bad true freshmen
(MLB) Jaylen Moody- Bust, doesn’t play at all
(OLB) Jordan Davis- Didn’t get into school, went JUCO

2019

(MLB) Shane Lee- Is not an SEC LB too slow.
(OLB) Christian Harris- should be good in a few years
(OLB) Kevin Harris- Doesn’t play
(OLB) King Mwikuta- Doesn’t play

Or we could actually adjust our defensive system to something that doesn't require TWO solid MLB.

Just like with basketball, you adjust your system to the players you have and their strengths. Its called being a good coach.

I agree.. but We all know Saban isn’t changing his Defense. It’s the reason we really don’t have the pick at any DC like we want. Saban wants a guy that runs a 3-4 and Saban will still run it. A lot of good DC’s won’t go by that rule. They want to run their own show on D and lets be honest Saban isn’t easy to work for. Which is why we had Golding. We need to good DC to get recruits and teach fundamentals.. we also need one that can work beside and along with Saban. I’m not sure how many of those are out there.. we will see.

That one puzzled me all this year too.. all I kept hearing was he couldn’t get the playbook down. That he didn’t have it between the ears and lined up wrong a lot.. I don’t know. Seemed like Lee did that a lot too.. but who knows.

That’s what the word is.. he is stepping down due to personal reasons outside of football. We will find out after early signing period.. but I expect him to be gone.

So who are the realistic DC candidates?

So have we definitely lost Kennedy? Why doesn’t someone just turn LSU in? Everyone knows they are making “strong arse offers” in both basketball and football.

Assuming LSU isn't cheating, no way I could make that move if I was a 'bama native. Rather play at Wisconsin than do that .
