Hopefully he has green light

I could be wrong but I don't think Gibbs does yet, unless Bama has a 5th spot in their pocket and knows McClellan isn't flipping.

How many classifications does GA have? To me how states do it seems weird. I know AL has 7A where NC only goes up to 4A. But in NC 3A would include the top half of the AL 6A and bottom half of the AL 7A schools based on size. NC 2A would be most of AL 5A and the bottom half of AL 6A.

But NC may be getting a 5A finally. There are a lot of schools now with 2000+ enrolled and some with over 2500. So in 4A you could have a school with 1200 students playing a school with 2500. Bigger pool to draw from.

The funny part is though some of the best players in NC to go onto college and the pros come from the 1A schools. Gurley, H Shuler, C Pickens, and even 2A schools like J Peppers.

Elite in-state Vols DL target sets announcement date (GoVols247)
quote:

One of Tennessee's longtime top targets is set to announce his college decision soon. Four-star Class of 2020 defensive lineman Omari Thomas of Briarcrest Christian School in Eads, Tenn., posted Sunday on his Twitter account that he's scheduled to reveal his choice Dec. 9 during a ceremony at his school in which he will be presented with his jersey for the 2020 All-American Bowl. Thomas is expected to choose between Tennessee, Alabama, Auburn, Ole Miss and Texas A&M... (more)

Note: Author CBd Thomas to Vols. OM fanboy mod Yancy Porter has flipped his CB pick from OM to Foggy. Thomas only has those two CBs.

Tide JUCO target talks Alabama OV (BamaOnLine | segments)
quote:

Alabama welcomed Hutchinson C.C. (KS) cornerback Ronald Williams to campus over the weekend on official visit, the third of his recruitment.

“Overall it was great,” Williams told BamaOnLine of his 48-hour stay at the Capstone. “I enjoyed being around the players and getting to meet the staff... Their style of play fits me," Williams said of why he could see himself rolling with the Tide. "I’m physical, I can tackle, cover, and my ball skills are great."

This season Williams tallied 26 tackles and three interceptions on a defense that ranks in the top five among the NJCAA ranks in pass yards allowed per game (131.5).

Season-ending injury changes Alabama commit's plans (BamaOnLine)
quote:

One of Alabama's earliest 2020 commits is Akron (OH) Hoban three-star tight end Caden Clark who pledged to Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide staff in July, 2018. Clark had visited Alabama unofficially in April and took his official visit in June.

Clark, 6-foot-4, 245-pounds, was having a great senior year at Hoban until suffering a season-ending knee injury a few weeks ago. The loss of Clark hurt Hoban's chances of winning their fifth straight Ohio state title and the Knights were eliminated from the playoffs last weekend.

"It was a shame to see him get hurt because he's a great kid and he was playing so well for us," Hoban head coach Tim Tyrrell told 247Sports. "He tore both his ACL and MCL so he has a bit of a long recovery ahead of him, but he should be just fine because he will attack his rehab and do what needs to be done to get back to 100%."

"We talked to (Alabama head coach) Nick Saban about it and he was fully supportive of Caden," Tyrrell added. "Because of the nature of the injury, Caden has decided to not report early to Alabama and he will be going there next summer instead. It's a disappointment to him but it's better that he waits until June to report to Alabama."

Clark is rated as the No. 18 tight end in the country according to the industry-generated 247Sports Composite.

Clark originally planned to enroll in Jan. We'll know in a few weeks if he signs early or not.

Also saw where Jah-Marien Latham got bumped from a 87 rating 3 star to a 90 rating 4 star. They also said he has potential to go up higehr. Hopefully he stands out in the AL-MS all star game and makes a hige impact. He seems like a beast

Yeah, that bump was to Latham's Top247 rating. His Composite rating went from .90 4* to .91 4*.

Doesn’t sound like he will be in the class unless things work out bc if not they would sign him , let our doctors rehab him and gave him ready to go

Hate to hear that either way . Bama needs a TE in this class . Hope the best for him regardless . Tough to see that happen at end of senior year

I posted on BOL but maybe he can grey shirt and we can now sign Reggie Grimes. We need a TE of the Washington or Peques kid from MS. I think we will be in a better position next yr with TE as Billingsley seems to be coming around and with Latu in another year will be good with what we have. Really hated to miss on the TE that went to the corndogs.

I liked him too, and he blasted Urban Meyer. So, I’d love to see him in the class one way or another.
