I just dont understand this at all, last week they talked all kinds of shite about how we should never complain about 11 am games. Then they turn around and get one and now they want to leave the SEC, makes no sense.
I mean, the issues being complained of seem very familiar: LINK
quote:
The last 11 am kickoff game I went to in Tiger Stadium was a September game against Mississippi State. I say the last because it was absolutely fricking miserable. Concession stands ran out of water by the end of the 1st quarter and ice shortly after halftime. People were falling out left and right and there were more fans under the ramps than in the stands, not that you could sit on the bleachers without burning the shite out of your legs.
Takes a real genius to schedule an 11 am kickoff against a team no one cares to see after the hottest September for Baton Rouge in recorded history. I guarantee there will be fans and administrators alike bitching because the stadium is half empty, but this will be the main reason why. These are the games that fans who cannot afford season tickets go to, not to mention those who take their kids and grandkids to that first game in Tiger stadium because you can find 4+ seats together without dropping a grand. Wont be as many of those with it being 100+ degrees in the stands.
Hmmm...

Any reason to not throw our name into the D’Eriq King sweepstakes? It worked out with Coker and Garner Minshew was a great addition for the 20 minutes that he was here

Braswell was hinting about B Young yesterday an hour before he flipped to us. So it seems he may be in know you look at his twitter.

I just saw from this board he liked Holden's tweet. Anything else?
Were there any off the field concerns with Jarrett? I thought I read that once but I might be getting him crossed with someone else.

If Jarrett flips to Bama the LSU recruiting board will be epic.Getting the popcorn ready just in case.

You want to take a guy who is the undisputed starter at his school but may decide to quit after 4 games to keep a year of eligibility? That doesn't sound good. Maybe it is a mess in Houston but that sounds crazy. Especially after getting Young and Maye I don't think he is a need.

Sure. This college football season is littered with transfers doing well

I agree. I don't want the guy. I'd rather start Mac and bring the young guys in at certain points

Fair enough but that seems like an odd one. Next year the QB room will be Lia, Mac, Young and Tyson.
The guys who you mentioned and other successful transfers either grad transferred or transferred and sat (except Fields but he stayed the full year). It seems unnecessary to bring in a guy to that QB room for one year and under the circumstances he left his previous school because other transfers have played well. I don't think he is a good fit for Sark's offense either. I think we are fine.

I don't think we take King because we're getting Young. But, if we weren't getting Young I think we are in the market for King. King is an incredible QB. I expect LSU will make a move for King.

Apparently he and another player plan to stay with Houston but redshirt. They plan on getting thier degree, learn more of the offense and come back and play next year (when they aren't 1-3
). This sounds super strange to me but good luck to him. I find it hard to believe he will be at Houston next year but who knows. I don't know what I'd be thinking if I was one of his teammates.
Just learned King's head coach last year was Major Applewhite who is now an analyst at Bama

If Alabama fans complain about X then we need to learn to suck it up and stop whining.
If X happens to LSU then it is a REC/Birmingham conspiracy to hold LSU back.
See: penalties, scheduling, recruiting, media coverage, postseason awards, etc.
Basically, they're a bunch of fricking dipshits.

Tim Watts said he did some digging on Rakim Jarrett this morning, and said it doesn't sound like there's been much contact between Jarrett and UA lately. He said that could change, but as of this morning it appears he's solid to LSU and there's nothing new happenning.

I wish those bitches would. They’d be on the level of Arkansas in 5 years.

Think this means anything significant? Staff doesn't want to just give an LSU commit a free ticket to watch the LSU game?

Braswell going to flip to LSU, like the LSU people where saying a few months ago?
I was wondering if this meant y'all were going to flip Clowney. Word a couple of weeks ago was that he wasn't responding much to the LSU coaches.
